omg okay, let me explain about #LeeJunyoung’s military service because everyone is genuinely so confused because isn’t military life is harsh and why does he looks like he’s having so much fun 😭

First of all, yes, lee junyoung enlisted in the military band. he is a vocalist and a frontline performer for the band (3355 band). There’s a lot of vocalists in the band but iirc junyoung is like the main performer along with heum and mujin because they are an actual musicians/artist in real. So when they do those huge public festivals like we’ve been witnessing, junyoung’s actual job is to sing, rap, dance and completely dominate the stage. But please don't think he’s just lounging around on regular days!

When there are no public events, jun’s daily schedule is packed with mandatory military duties. He has grueling vocal rehearsals, has to write scripts for official MCing gigs, learn complicated marching routines, and practice with the ensemble all day. He also literally has to practice playing actual military band instruments too like trumpet etc. Plus, they constantly have to perform internal ceremonies inside the base that we never get to see.

oh and most importantly! junyoung is still an active-duty soldier!! Being a vocalist doesn't free him from standard army life. He still has to hold a rifle, pull overnight guard duty, do intense combat training, and complete grueling physical drills just like everyone else.

So when I joke and say “he’s having too much fun” it’s a joke but like honestly he might ACTUALLY be enjoying the stage, but he is still locked down with a massive amount of military responsibility. The only time he actually gets to let loose and have total fun is during those few hours when he’s performing publicly for us!

so in conclusion, it still sucks but THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE PRIVATE LEE JUNYOUNG 🪖🫡🎖️
