Thank you @VMAvolusia for hosting us at the Robot Brawl training day. The load of supplies will be put to good use. We are coming loaded for bear to defend our title.
Thank you to all the teachers that attended the teacher training for our upcoming Robot Brawl today! They learned about battle bots, specs of the robots, the engineering design process, and how to upgrade their RC cars!

Why Do We Focus on Project Based Learning? | Because Project Based Learning engages students in learning that is deep and long-lasting, and inspires for them a love of learning and personal connection to their academic experience. https://t.co/67wK2BNZBJ

Georgia is suspending standardized testing for the upcoming school year & formal teacher evals and are seeking to permanently cut certain tests. This will also save $10's of millions from the budget that can be used toward teacher pay, etc. Let's hope other states step up!
Now more than ever it is imperative that we build robust connections between school and industry in Volusia County. To be able to take advantage of opportunities in aerospace and mechatronics our kids need high level, real world experiences.
One small step for man, one giant leap for @PineRidgeHS’s Advanced Manufacturing Academy (PRAMA) students who worked with @NASA to make parts for the @Space_Station!!
Congratulations to our PRAMA students & teachers, making parts for NASA to be flown to the International Space Station! @PR_Manufact@PineRidgeHS

3,2,1 Liftoff! @PineRidgeHS’s Advanced Manufacturing Academy students are working with @NASA & they're actually making parts for the @Space_Station!!! How cool is that? They made parts for space-station lockers & will work on locking mechanisms. Take a look at these pictures!
First run of the new large and small format CNC routers. These are completely student built machines and were the product of PRAMA Robotics Guru Mr. Vega and his 11th grade class. Awesome job guys. Makes me excited for even bigger things he has in the works for next year.
We got some cool news this morning. The parts we made for NASA have been approved, assembled and are in rotation to fly to the international space station. So PRAMA kids can now officially say they have successfully made space-flight ready hardware.
Jayne Fifer, President/CEO of VMA, & Ashley Linsmeier, Teledyne Oil and Gas, stopped by @hmseaglesFL to check-up on the Green Goblin electric car they helped fund last year. They were so happy to see all the work the students have done and commented, "They are really incredible!"
