The modern “wind-down routine” often looks like:

Doom scroll phone
Reply to messages
Watch something
Have a drink

And we wonder why sleep feels harder than it used to. 🙈

I’ve been noticing how often people say:

“Long day. I need a drink today”

I think alcohol is just a crutch and it’s actually more about forcing the mind to take a moment of pause.

I wonder if something else can satisfy that feeling?

#2 Coffee equals overstimulation?

-People drink it to wake up.

-Then drink another one to fix the crash from the first.

-Then struggle to sleep.

A surprising number of coffees are just simulation loops that we don’t question.
