🔥 *A POWERFUL SHOW OF UNITY, STRENGTH & ORGANISATIONAL COMMITMENT*! 🔥
The 45th Annual General Meeting of @boioapune Unit witnessed a thunderous and unprecedented participation of thousands of officers, under the dynamic leadership of President Shri Amol Sangale ji and General Secretary Shri @Pramod_Shinde09 ji.
*The presence of officers who travelled from every nook and corner of Maharashtra transformed the AGM into a magnificent demonstration of organisational unity, commitment and solidarity.*
We apprised the members of the prevailing scenario in the banking industry and the critical issues confronting officers. His address covered key organisational concerns including 5-Day Banking, PLI, recruitment, workforce trends and analysis, and various genuine demands relating to staff welfare, service conditions and employee benefits.
*The massive turnout and electrifying response of the members sent out a powerful message: the rank and file of Bank of India officers remain deeply connected with the Organisation, fully aware of the challenges before the banking industry, and firmly committed to protecting their legitimate rights and interests*.
The Pune general body meeting once again demonstrated the strength of collective leadership and the power of an organised membership. Such gatherings are not merely annual formalities—they are platforms that strengthen organisational consciousness, deepen member engagement and reinforce our collective resolve.
The overwhelming participation is a reflection of the deep-rooted faith and confidence of our officers in the Federation of Bank of India Officers’ Association.
*When the Organisation calls, our members respond*.
*When our members unite, the Organisation becomes stronger.*
*And when we stand together, no challenge is insurmountable*.
✊ LONG LIVE ORGANISATIONAL UNITY!
✊ LONG LIVE @boioapune !
✊ LONG LIVE @fboioa_india !
1st meeting of the committee on 5-Day Banking is scheduled today. I hv rarely witnessed members showing such anticipation for an outcome. The discussions must be made transparent and public, with a clear roadmap, firm timeline and execution plan. @aiboc_in@rupamsmail@UFBUIndia
Clarity and clear communication is something eagerly everyone waiting for….The decision when entire carder is ready, fighting against every troll every attack is disheartening and disappointing.
Please maintain clear communication with clarity @aiboc_in@UFBUIndia@rupamsmail
#BLACKSUNDAY | 27 SEPTEMBER
Welcome to “Digital India”, where UPI works 24×7, digital banking works round the clock, and yet bankers are summoned to work on Sunday.
Most developed economies follow a #5DayBanking . India leads in digital payments, but apparently still needs the banker’s chair occupied on Sunday.
For years, bankers served during Demonetisation , COVID-19 and countless national programmes. Ask for 5-Day Banking, and the file moves slowly.
You can open branches on #
Sunday, but you cannot silence the demand for #5DayBankingNow

Dear Comrades,
The fight for Five-Day Banking must not be seen merely as a struggle for implementation of an agreement that has remained pending for more than 30 months. This is a fight for our existence, our dignity, our families and our fundamental right to a humane working life.
Public Sector Bank employees serve far more customers than our private-sector counterparts. Even with private banks accounting for a substantial share of the banking market, it is overwhelmingly the Public Sector Banks and their employees who carry the burden of Government-sponsored schemes, financial inclusion, social-sector banking and the last-mile delivery of public policy.
We work for institutions owned by the people and for a Government that expects us to reach every citizen. We have never shied away from that responsibility. But those who expect us to serve the nation must also recognise one simple truth:
We are not robots. We are not machines. We are not AI tools. We are human beings.
We have families waiting for us, children who need our time, parents who need our care, and lives beyond targets, reviews, late-night meetings and relentless workplace pressure.
We are not asking for privilege. We are asking for dignity, balance and justice.
The growing culture of excessive working hours, constant pressure and an increasingly toxic work environment cannot become the new normal. Five-Day Banking is one important step towards restoring humanity to our workplaces.
Save the banker. Save the banking family. Respect the commitment already made.
Five-Day Banking is not a luxury.
It is not an unreasonable demand.
It is a just demand whose time has come.
Let us stand together, for ourselves, for our families and for the generations of bankers who will come after us.
Five-Day Banking is For Dignity. For Family. For a Humane Workplace.
March ahead with courage and unity for the three-day strike from 28th to 30th September and make it a resounding success. No fear, no threat and no intimidation can weaken our collective resolve. Officers and employees stand together , we are all strikers in this historic struggle.
General Secretary
AIBOC
FIVE-DAY BANKING: A FAIR AND TIMELY NEED
India’s financial system runs on the commitment of its banking professionals. *During national challenges—from the extraordinary workload during demonetisation to keeping essential banking services operational throughout the COVID-19 pandemic—bank employees stood firmly with the nation.*
They have consistently kept the economy moving when it mattered most.
Today, five-day banking is not merely about an additional day off. It is about modernisation, productivity, work-life balance and recognising the contribution of banking professionals.
*The Indian Banks’ Association submitted the proposal for five-day banking in July 2023. Yet, more than three years later, its implementation is still awaited*.
*We stood with the nation when it needed us most. Now, it is time for the nation to stand with its banking professionals*.
Implement #5dayBanking .
Recognise the contribution.
Respect the commitment.

When bankers stop, banking stops. When banking stops, the economy feels the impact.
We keep customers, businesses & MSMEs moving. Now it’s time to recognise our contribution.
5 DAYS BANKING - Not a favour. A legitimate demand.✊

🔴Double standard by the Government.
📢5 Day's Week declared for the LIC of India on 15th April 2021 and all other Government departments are working "5 Day's a week" since earlier.
Then why such biased and unfair behaviour towards Bankers???
