I think, our Assam tourism is much better. I have been to Chandubi Lake so many times. Before boarding the small boats to travel across, it's mandatory to wear life jackets. The lessi/ agents seem to be not so professional, but they ensure each and everyone wears life jackets before the journey!

Accidents these days, every day news...!! Is it normal or we are becoming a nation where these are all taken for granted?? No accountability, no proper investigation to find out the root causes and subsequent course corrections in all departments! Most importantly...the bogus way to test a person's driving skill in a single day in a confined area and issue licences must stop. Something is gravely serious!! More deaths are coming in the future, departments entitled to their core responsibilities must do their duties 100%.
People can move 24x7 anywhere/everywhere, there should not be moral policing, why girls/ boys are travelling at night!!

A Story of Development:-

A two lane fly over was constructed from Baruah Chariali to Bhogdoi bridge at AT Road Jorhat and inaugurated for the public before the Assam Assembly elections 2026 to ease out traffic. The irony is the flyover remains mostly empty 24x7 and congestion/ chaos multiplied manifold under pass along the same stretch from beginning to end of the fly over. The chaos below is just like hell.
@himantabiswa Sir, kindly look into the matter and instruct concerned authorities to act and sort out things at the earliest.

@pran_en It was as predicted. When you come to town, most of business will be better court to marowary Patti with an obvious detour in gar-ali. Unlike Guwahati spaces below are occupied by vendors, auto walls and haphazard car parking

When you have lame duck @Jorhat_Police and @DCJorhat administrations such things - chaos/ congestion, as you have rightly highlighted, will continue to happen.

Dibrugarh and Tezpur are far better organised than Jorhat and the administration over there, deserves appreciation.

From Atal Setu Over Bridge (Barpeta Road) to Manas National Park, the road is so pathetic since last many years that we as Assamese should feel ashamed in front of foreigners as well as people from other states taking this route. @CMOfficeAssam @himantabiswa FYI.

Since last 15 days, 4 super sucker trucks have been deployed at S. k Baruah Road, Dispur, which is famous for water logging at the slightest rain since last 5 years. Today, I just went to see the work and saw these things beneath our drains. Request GMC officials to engage manual labour to fish out these bottles.
We Guwahatians must improve our civic senses not to throw plastics at drains at any cost. This is really pathetic, we are going to face flash flood issues very soon 🙏🙏
