They key was patience and routine. I always stepped to the fade. I know it looks like I’m stepping forward but in my mind I’m stepping laterally. Keeps me square and forces the WRs outside of my wingspan. If they released outside I fought to get into lead position so I could control their speed.

Knew they would likely be running 1 of 4 routes. Hitch/comeback/ quick fade/ go route. So looked for indicators from their body after that
