On the occasion of Atal Janm Shatabdi, I, on behalf of JanaSena, pay heartfelt tributes to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee—freedom fighter, former Prime Minister, poet, statesman, and above all, one of the greatest patriots of our motherland.
Atalji’s extraordinary oratory could ignite fire in hearts and send shivers down spines. His words and poems touched millions—some healed, many inspired. His iconic words in Parliament have personally guided me in leading a political party—“सत्ता का खेल चलेगा, सरकारें आएंगी-जाएंगी, लेकिन यह देश रहना चाहिए, इस देश का लोकतंत्र अमर रहना चाहिए।” (“Power will come and go, governments will come and go, but this nation must endure, and its democracy must remain immortal.”)
He embodied democracy—placing the nation above politics and unity above divisions.
Atalji is one of the modern-day architects of Bharat, and his leadership transformed India’s destiny—from the Golden Quadrilateral uniting the nation, to Pokhran’s nuclear tests asserting India’s strength, and from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan ensuring education for all, to Annapurna Anna Yojana providing food security. His deft diplomacy and historic UN address in Hindi reflected his vision of a confident, self-reliant Bharat on the global stage.
Atalji’s life remains a guiding light for leaders and citizens alike. In his immortal words—“छोटे मन से कोई बड़ा नहीं होता, टूटे मन से कोई खड़ा नहीं होता।” (“No one can become great with a narrow mind, and no one can stand tall with a broken spirit.”)
Jai Hind!
Is it real? You damn right! This MJ comparison ain’t a punchline, fly by night, none of that…
