​வாசலில் "மாசாபல்லா" என்று எழுதப்பட்டிருந்த அந்த வீட்டிற்குள் நுழைந்த போலீசாருக்குப் பேரதிர்ச்சி தரும் வகையில், மாநிலம் முழுவதும் சப்ளை செய்வதற்காக மூட்டை மூட்டையாகப் போதை பொருட்கள் குவிக்கப்பட்டு இருந்தன.

​அதுமட்டுமல்ல... பாலஸ்தீன மாடலில் அந்த வீட்டுக்குள்ளேயே ரகசிய சுரங்கங்களும், ரகசிய அறைகளும் அமைக்கப்பட்டிருந்ததைக் கண்டு காவல்துறையே மிரண்டு போயுள்ளது. கேரளாவில் இப்படி ஒரு சுரங்க நெட்வொர்க் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்படுவது இதுவே முதல் முறை என்கிறார்கள்!

OPERATION AMISTAD: INDIA DEPLOYS SPECIALISED INDIAN ARMY MEDICAL CONTINGENT TO EARTHQUAKE-HIT VENEZUELA

Responding swiftly to the devastating earthquake in northern Venezuela, #India has launched Operation Amistad, deploying a specialised medical contingent to support humanitarian relief efforts.

The 41-member team of #IndianArmy, from the 60 Para Field Hospital, including nine medical officers, departed today from India aboard two Indian Air Force, #IAF aircraft. Equipped to provide emergency medical care, trauma management, surgery and critical care, the contingent is carrying nearly six tonnes of medical stores and humanitarian aid, including the indigenously developed BHISHM Cube under India's Aarogya Maitri Project.

The BHISHM Cube is a rapidly deployable modular field hospital capable of delivering advanced trauma care, emergency surgeries and intensive care for up to 200 patients, significantly strengthening India's disaster response capability.

The mission embodies India's enduring commitment to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, guided by the timeless ethos of “VASUDHAIVA KUTUMBAKAM” - “THE WORLD IS ONE FAMILY.”

In moments of adversity, India stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela, extending compassion, care and hope to those affected.

The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC), under the direction of the TVK Govt, had filed an FIR & conducted a raid yesterday at the residence and other premises associated with former DMK Minister Thiru E.V. Velu avl in connection with alleged irregularities in the execution of road contracts awarded in 2022.

I welcome the TVK Govt's efforts to investigate allegations of corruption from the previous DMK regime. I sincerely hope that the TVK Govt ensures a swift conclusion to these cases, and that anyone found guilty is held accountable in accordance with the law.

While we are on this subject, I urge the TVK Govt to look into the following scams that were exposed over the past 5 years, order an enquiry, and take action accordingly. Naming a few to begin with.

1.BGR Energy Scam – Flouting rules, re-awarding a contract, and later cancelling it after being exposed.
2.Nutrition Kit Scam – Procurement of Health Mix from private vendors at an inflated price despite Aavin coming forward to manufacture it.
3.Pongal Dhoti Scam – Use of excess polyester instead of cotton, and proofs of which were submitted to DVAC.
4.Multiple scams in the State Transport Department – Procurement of Reflective & Rear Marking Plates and much more.
5.TNMSC Scam – Procurement of Pesticides
6.MGNREGA Scam

We also hope the TVK Govt finds the time to solve a long-pending mystery. For years, we have been asking about the rather curious coincidence of Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin avl's fan club and Noble Steels operating from the very same address, and about Noble Steels' announcement of a ₹1,000 crore investment in Tamil Nadu soon after former Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin's visit to Dubai (that investment remains an announcement, is a topic for another day).

Leading a CBSE school for close to 10 years has shown me just how painful it can be to deal with the government machinery.

There are days when you come very close to giving up; not because running a school is difficult, but because you're exhausted from constantly having to give. Even greed should have a ceiling. There has to be a point where they should just live & let live.

Every approval (fire, safety, kitchen, hostel, or any other clearance) seems to come with an expectation of money. Every government meeting happening in the proximity of our school, we are not requested but demanded to provide money, school vans, staff, and other resources.

An example: the FIDE Chess Olympiad in Chennai in 2022. We were instructed to provide a couple of our school vans for advertisement. Huge posters featuring our Chief Minister and the Chess Olympiad branding were put up on our SCHOOL vehicles. A month after the event, when we requested that they be removed, we were told either to leave them as they were or remove them at our own expense (which was not cheap).

What disturbed me even more was hearing government officials openly say that corruption has always existed in TN, but under the current government, they no longer have to hide it or fear getting caught. Those words came from their own mouths.

I'm neither for nor against any political party. But when you endure one blow after another for years, it's only natural to feel relieved, and even celebrate, when the wind changes direction & you finally sense the possibility of a fresh breeze.
