I have an opening for a postdoctoral research associate in my group at @EdinburghUni to develop new mathematical models of bursty gene expression and signal transduction and fit these to eukaryotic data. Deadline 24th March. https://t.co/7CebLiO8xJ
Postdoc position in Computational Epidemiology.
The proposed project consists of two parts: i) developing Neural Network techniques to use in the construction of Bayesian priors, and ii) developing diagnostic techniques suitable to simulation-based inference. 👉
If you’re at #ICML2024 in Vienna, welcome to drop by Hall C 4-9 (Messe Wien) today between 13.30-15.00 to discuss @alexkarakulev’s nice work on learning from noisy data. #ICML#MachineLearning
Our new paper at #icml2024!
"Garbage in, garbage out" – this is why we clean the data before training a model, right? In our paper we suggest minimizing the manual work with a simple method for robust learning from contaminated data.

@A_Hellander Thanks for the kind words @A_Hellander, and for the beautiful postdoc journey! I take with myself great learnings from everyone in the lab, and some of your energy as I embark on the tenure track road. I look forward to keep doing awesome work together!
It's clear that the variant is more dominant (1.2x) in children aged 0-9 yrs and 0-19 yrs. There could be many reasons for this - including transmission dynamics - due to high levels of unmitigated transmission in schools during lockdown - which has favoured the variant.
