मौत आए तो पण्डित नेहरू जैसी… कि विरोधी रोए, विपक्षी रोए, दोस्त रोए, दुश्मन रोए, सारा जहाँ रोए।

सन् ‘64 में आज ही के दिन जब पण्डित नेहरू का निधन हुआ तो तत्कालीन रक्षामंत्र�� वाई बी चव्हाण रक्षा सौदे के लिए अमेरिका गए हुए थे। सूचना मिली तो चव्हाण साहब के साथ वहाँ गया पूरा अमला बिह्वल हो उठा।

अगली समस्या यह थी जल्द से जल्द और अंतिम संस्कार से पहले दिल्ली कैसे पहुँचा जाए। क्योंकि जिस हवाई जहाज़ ये पूरी टीम अमेरिका गई थी, वह छोटा एयरक्राफ़्ट था, स्पीड कम थी और कम से कम दो जगह रीफ़्यूलिंग के लिए ��ुकना पड़ता।

बात अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जॉनसन तक पहुँची। उन्होंने आदेश दिया कि उनका आधिकारिक जहाज़ वाई बी चव्हाण और टीम लेकर फ़ौरन दिल्ली के लिए निकलेगा। ये लोग जहाज़ में बैठने को थे कि अमेरिका प्रशासन से आग्रह आया कि क्या आप ‘अपने’ जहाज़ में हमारे दो राजनयिकों को जगह दे सकते हैं?

ख़ैर, सबको लेकर जहाज़ उड़ा तो पता चला कि बिना रुके उड़ने के बावजूद पण्डित जी के अंतिम संस्कार से पहले दिल्ली नही�� पहुँच सकते क्योंकि पाकिस्तान का एयर स्पेस नो फ्लाई जोन है इसलिए ईरान के बाहर से उड़ कर दक्षिण भारत की ओर से घूम कर भारत में घुसना पड़ेगा। जिसमें 2 से 3 घंटे का समय और लगेगा।

लेकिन बात तो पण्डित नेहरू की थी। पाकिस्तान से संपर्क किया गया और उन्होंने अपना एयर स्पेस खोल दिया। अब हवाई जहाज़ को पाकिस्तान ऊपर से उड़ कर सीधे दिल्ली ��हुँचने की अनुमति थी। चव्हाण साहब दिल्ली पहुँचे और अंतिम दर्शन में शामिल हुए।

ये था पण्डित नेहरू क़द। जिसके सम्मान में दुनिया सबसे शक्तिशाली देश भी आगे बढ़ कर मदद करता है और दुश्मन देश का दिल भी पसीज जाता है।

केंद्र सरकार ने नया नियम बनाया है. IT मंत्रालय ‘फैक्ट चेक’ यूनिट बना सकेगा. ये यूनिट केंद्र सरकार से संबंधित किसी ख़बर को ग़लत या भ्रामक बताती है तो सोशल मीडिया कंपनियों को उसे हटाना पड़ेगा. Editors Guild of India ने इसे सेंसरशिप जैसा बताया है और नियम वापस लेने की माँग की है.
