A little back story about Francis Tiafoe.
Constant and Alphina moved to the US from Sierra Leone, Constant reaching in 1993 and his wife in 1998. When their sons were born in 1999, Constant was a day labourer, part of a crew building a tennis centre in Maryland and Alphina was a night nurse.
When the tennis centre was finally built, Constant Francis stayed on as a custodian, and that's where his twin sons Francis and Franklin, born in 1999, hung around through the week, as their mother stayed far away, near her job. So they started doing the one thing they could do there, play tennis and get free tennis lessons.

I try to keep the emotions from my parasocial relationships with celebrities limited to motivation.

I try my best not to let such relations drive emotions like happiness, anxiety, anger, and sadness. Those should come from my own life. I fail at it at times. Especially when it comes to sports.

But it's very important not to let news from parasocial relations dictate how you feel on a given day. Not worth it. There is more reward and fulfilment in it coming from your own relations.

IMPORTANT: West Bengal is reportedly dropping eggs from school mid-day meals and handing over a vegetarian-only meal contract to ISKCON. Meanwhile, states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are expanding nutrition for children with more protein-rich food. School meals should be guided by science and nutrition, not politics or religious preferences. Keep ideology off a child’s plate, for God’s sake. 🙏
