Every street is a food street, every gathering revolves around eating …desi ghee, fried platters, late night BBQs, sugary drinks

But while we celebrate food culture, liver disease is quietly spreading in the background

Fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis !!a slow death sentence that consumes the body silently for yrs before the damage becomes irreversible

No pains on warnings initially
Just a diseased liver slowly failing beneath the lifestyle people normalize every day

A city obsessed with taste,while ignoring the organ paying the price
Around 30-40% of Lahoris may be some sort of liver disease! Let that sink in

The problem with the whole situation is that Pakistan cant really get its own house in order unless there’s some kind of understanding or settlement between Iran, US and indirectly Israel as well. As long as there’s no peace or stability in the neighbourhood, things r going to stay difficult for Pakistan too
I think the whole point of these peace negotiations is to calm things down .. غریب لوک آن اسی , can’t afford the effects on oil prices, energy markets and even the broader GCC situation.. defence pact and probabilities of getting sucked into this madness is a separate debate

And for Pakistan, that translates very directly into problems at home! When global tensions rise, you immediately see pressure on inflation, and then electricity and gas prices start going up again.. وہی بکواس خانہ وہی مہنگائی
