Major goof-up by mainstream Malayalam print media. Except @DBIDaily, everyone else - @keralakaumudi@manoramaonline & @mathrubhumi - incorrectly reported that #Chandrayaan2 was launched. Says a lot about the quality of their desk. Know facts the earliest, read Deshabhimani.

@frontline_india Frontline is simply doing harm to its reputation by allowing any dumbfuck to publish on its reputable platform. The author seems to have plucked facts out of thin air. Was anyone from the CPIM West Bengal even reached out for a comment?
Shame on Frontline and its editor for publishing this calumnious piece of drivel. The author seems to have plucked facts out of fresh air. “CPIM state unit supported BJP”— imagine the level of dumbfuck you have to be to say this.
The CPI(M) denounces the ED raid on Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan’s residence. This is a targeted attack on a top opposition leader by the BJP government. Such actions will not intimidate Pinarayi Vijayan or the CPI(M).
Is the UDF government complicit in this raid?
I don't understand people's obsession with watching tutorials in videos format.
What I can read in a minute, takes 5 minutes to watch. Not to mention that revisiting a section is extremely tedious in video.
I guess I must be getting old.

.@tncpim State Committee Meeting – Press Statement
08.05.2026
The Tamil Nadu State Committee meeting of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was held today in Chennai and was chaired by Central Committee member Comrade N. Gunasekaran. The meeting was attended by Politburo members K. Balakrishnan and U. Vasuki, State Secretary P. Shanmugam, Central Committee members P. Sampath and K. Balabharathi, and State Secretariat and State Committee members.
The resolution adopted at the meeting is as follows:
CPI(M) extends support for the formation of a T.V.K. Government
In the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election results, no party secured a clear majority. In this situation, the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (T.V.K.) has emerged as the single largest party. Actor-turned-politician Mr. Joseph Vijay has staked claim to form the government.
The CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Committee strongly condemns the Governor’s refusal to invite Mr. Joseph Vijay to form the government and prove his majority in the Assembly as an anti-democratic act. The Governor is acting with clear political bias and is violating established conventions, judicial pronouncements, and the principles of the Constitution. This is completely unacceptable.
The CPI(M) State Committee asserts that the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam openly and firmly opposing the Governor’s actions would demonstrate its strong commitment to protecting State rights and the federal structure. This is also the strong expectation of all democratic forces.
Meanwhile, reports of talks between the DMK and AIADMK, and attempts to form a government under Mr. Edappadi Palaniswami, are completely against the mandate given by the people. This cannot be accepted.
The Governor’s actions must not pave the way for the imposition of President’s Rule in Tamil Nadu, horse-trading, or political opportunism that goes against the people’s verdict.
After detailed discussion, the CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Committee has resolved that:
- President’s Rule must not be imposed in Tamil Nadu.
- Attempts by the BJP to capture power through the back door must not be allowed.
- Support should be extended to Mr. Joseph Vijay to form the government, based on his formal request.
- This support is being extended to defeat the Governor’s anti-democratic move and to uphold respect for the people’s mandate.
The two CPI(M) MLAs will vote in favour of the Vijay-led government during the confidence motion in the Legislative Assembly. However, the party will extend outside support and will not join the cabinet.
The CPI(M) Tamil Nadu State Committee urges the new government to uphold the principles of secularism, people-centric economic development, federalism, and social justice, and to fulfil the aspirations of the people.
Forget Pinarayi, imagine Pinarayi's neighbor or second cousin say something like this. What would be media headlines? Or specifically, Media One's headlines?
NDTV’s 10th straight quarterly loss says everything we need to know about the takeover.
A media company that is reportedly losing nearly ₹100 crore in just three months is still being kept alive, not because it makes business sense, but because it serves a larger political purpose. No corporate house keeps losing money like this out of love for journalism. The point is simple - this was never a business decision. It was about control. It was about owning a platform, shaping the narrative, and keeping a propaganda machine running for a political master.
The Delhi High Court quashing the Income Tax notices against Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy, and imposing a ₹2 lakh cost on the department, makes the picture clearer. Those cases now look exactly like what many had said from the beginning - pressure tactics to weaken the founders before the takeover.
So this is not just about NDTV’s losses. This is about media capture. A big corporate house willingly bleeding money to run a news channel tells us what the takeover was really for. Not profit. But
Propaganda.
Not business.
But political obedience.
Nothing we did not know. Just saying it out loud again. #NDTV #MediaCapture #CorporateMedia #IndianMedia #MediaIndependence #PropagandaMachine #PoliticalControl
Worker Check.
You tell yourself you are not a worker. Let us test that.
Imagine you only had to work 4 hours a day to cover your rent, bills, groceries, and still keep your current lifestyle. The other 4 hours? Yours. For family, hobbies, rest - whatever actually matters.
Could you make that work? Not under capitalism. Because your paycheck is not a reward for a full day's effort. It's just enough to keep you coming back tomorrow.
Those first few hours? They cover your actual cost of living.
The rest of your shift? You are generating value that never makes it back to you. Building margins. Funding bonuses. Creating wealth that stays with the people who own the business.
It doesn't matter if you wear a blazer, answer Slack messages from home, or "manage" a team or "own" a product or "hold" some ESOPs. If you don't own the company, you are selling your time to stay afloat. And the split between what you keep and what they take is not natural - it is enforced.
You are not a "professional". You are a worker who has been sold a different title.
If you don't sign the paychecks, realise this: your real cost of survival is covered in a fraction of your day. The rest isn't your salary. It's theirs.
The question was never whether you work 4 or 8 hours. It's who gets to draw the line.
And that's a line we shall redraw together. ✊🏾
May Day greetings, comrades. Join the vanguard.
