In Kerala Majida MA is fighting a legal battle to survive - where, indirectly most of us are parties too. Should the RIGHT TO LIVE be a universal right or a privilege of the few? Shouldn't this issue be worthy of becoming a national discourse now?

Aren't we aware about the crushing cost of treatment in this country? Don't we know how the desperation to keep our loved ones alive puts families into trap of lifetime debt? Then why not we outrage on this? Why?

The world is not ending soon enough.

In our family, my grandmother, my mother and my maternal aunty had breast cancer in the left side.

My mom passed away, but my grandmother and maternal aunt are survivors.

I have seen them go through hell and back.

Saw them lose their hair, become extremely weak and only survived on carrot soup for months, because that's the only thing that they could drink. Even that was vomitted at times.

Death penalty and a charge of mass murderer is the bare minimum.

Corruption is not an issue anymore because everyone understands (and even respects) this basic human urge to hoard, to make more money. We even celebrate the top 15-20 billionaires of the nation as some sort of beacons of our culture and pride.

But what gets missed in this razzle-dazzle is that corruption is not just someone making extra money by bending rules - it also means those bent rules KILL people. In building fires, collapses, fake cancer medicines, adulterated foods, drunk driving, and a hundred other ways.

Corruption actually means someone making money by murdering people, murdering us.
