"New NMC regulations jeopardise jobs of 5,000 non-medical teachers" via @thetribunechd https://t.co/RNFY4rtwBB
As the PM @narendramodi embarks on another term in Lok Sabha, the job loss needs to be addressed by the @PMOIndia
The degree-based discrimination is unacceptable in the modern times. @MoHFW_INDIA must step in to end this practice.
@mansukhmandviya@OfficeOf_MM
If the MCI was unkind to teachers with medical MSc/PhD qualifications, the NMC has been even worse.
The practice of degree-based discrimination, also known as 'academic apartheid', has increased manyfold. The undergraduate board of the NMC has been pursuing an agenda of hate and discrimination against the so-called non-medical teachers.
Affected individuals believe these actions are driven by three factors: pride and prejudice, the provision of jobs at the expense of others and to fill the non-clinical PG seats.

पवित्र दीपावली त्योहार के अवसर पर, हम आशा करते हैं कि न्याय कि रोशनी नफरत और अत्याचार के अंधकार को परास्त करेगी। #HappyDiwali
Here's a wishing on the pious occassion of Deepavali that the light of justice will overcome the darkness of hatred and oppression.
RAW's activities are shrouded in secrecy, accessible only to the PMO.
Another highly confidential organization is the NMC, where meeting minutes remain strictly confidential, neither disclosed to the public nor accessible through the RTI Act.
Given the government's apparent indifference to transparency issues, this opaqueness may well be intentional.
#TopSecretNMC
It is surprising why the opposition parties aren't taking on the government for the systematic erosion of the RTI Act.
"Academic apartheid" is a term that refers to a system or practice of segregation or discrimination within an educational institution or system. It implies unequal access to educational opportunities, resources, and benefits for different groups, often resulting in marginalized or disadvantaged groups receiving an inferior treatment compared to more privileged groups. This term is typically used to highlight disparities and inequities within the educational system.
@NMC_IND is indeed practicing and promoting #AcademicApartheid by prescribing a host of discriminatory rules that selectively disentitle medical MSc/PhD teachers.
@Xpress_edex explores this shameful occurance in its article: https://t.co/vPv6ohDInV
There should be no place for any kind of apartheid in 21st century, certainly not in professional education. This must end!!!
@rashtrapatibhvn@PMOIndia@narendramodi@narendramodi_in@MoHFW_INDIA@OfficeOf_MM@mansukhmandviya
Why so much urgency to destabilize the system with poor quality takers. @MoHFW_INDIA & @NITIAayog . Think out of the box. You are arranging a picnic over the corpses of #Science .
After a considerable delay, the @MoHFW_INDIA passed the National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Professions Act in 2021. However, as we approach the end of 2023, no permanent members have been appointed, and no rules and regulations have been established, rendering this commission purely theoretical.
Frustrated by the government's inaction, a group of concerned individuals has taken the initiative to file a petition in the Supreme Court, seeking to activate this commission.
The experience with the NMC has been far from ideal, leaving us apprehensive about the future of this new commission.
It is also a matter of concern that the public had to seek legal intervention for what should have been the government's proactive role.
This government seems entirely focussed on beating its own drum for the sake of forthcoming LS elections. Nothing more!!!
The Vice President's @VPIndia remark has seemingly been made without a full understanding of the ground realities of how the Indian judiciary functions.
Cases often accumulate and linger for years, even decades, without resolution, causing continued suffering for the public due to a dysfunctional judiciary.
It is essential for the government to take action in reforming the judicial system, ensuring that people can access justice within a reasonable timeframe.
If the government is sensitive and empathetic to the concerns of the public, it can prevent people from having to approach the courts. The government should act promptly and decisively to address issues.
We are awaiting a proactive approach from @PMOIndia and @MoHFW_INDIA
Disgusting how these https://t.co/kx339u1tcq are allowed to associate with Physicians and win Nobel prize in medicine ....they shouldn't to be allowed to mix and work together.....Right @NMC_IND??
(disclaimer for morons: pun intended)
@NMMTA_Assn
We respect meritorious non-clinical medicos. However, we do have concerns regarding those low-merit medicos who enter non-clinical PG courses with zero percentile scores, somehow manage to pass, and subsequently become teachers. They form associations and begin to critique the standards of others. It is important to hold a mirror up to them; they need to be humble. Empty arrogance shows them in a poor light.
Furthermore, it raises concerns about how effectively such low-merit medicos can train medical students.
On a more optimistic note, low-merit medicos now have an easy chance to become non-clinical specialists and potential non-clinical teachers.
Great days ahead for medical education. So much for the so-called 'high standards'. 😐🤫

It is very disappointing to learn that AP DME disqualified the https://t.co/QsinhHGfk0. PhD qualified Medical Postgraduates for Assistant Professor Positions by Direct Recruitment for want of Senior Residency experience which is not required or is mandatory neither as per the NMC Regulations nor as per AP State Medical Services Rules. Despite a request by the association earlier to the DME for necessary corrections in this regard, DME has decided to disqualify the medical teachers anyway. #MedTwitter #Justice4MScMedicinePostgraduates
NMMTA is happy to announce the 4th Conference of Clinical Scientists on Research in Basic Medical Sciences on 8th & 9th September 2023 at Hyderabad, which includes a workshop, conference & Annual General Body Meeting of the Association. Registration open. https://t.co/fBpJ3SXR18
Why does @NMC_IND assume that good teachers exist only in the medical colleges established prior to 2001? Don't faculties move from college to college? Aren't faculties deputed or transferred to newly established colleges? Don't senior faculty join new colleges after retirement?
@India_NHRC Are you protecting the vulnerable community, if yes then why didn't take any action on @NMC_IND who brutally destroy the future & career of MSc(Medicine)&PhD fraternity. We have basic rights to live here according to our Constitution but @NMC_IND didn't consider that.
@OfficeOf_MM@narendramodi@mansukhmandviya Respected sir if it's a correct one then why central government forget Medical MSc&PhD faculty in the medical education and give powers to @NMC_IND to destroy their career and future without any concern and humanity.
@drkchandra@prlenka1@mansukhmandviya@PMOIndia Surely a great step by the ministry.Hope these changes will bring transparency towards availability of medical teachers, will make the system more inclusive, will omit discrimination and provide equal opportunities to all.
DME, AP is not following the State Services Rules and has rejected applications of Majority of Medical https://t.co/6vJ0oFtDZU./ Medical PhD teachers illegally, in its scrutinized list that was published recently. @ysjagan@VidadalaRajini@DrVinodKumarV1@rakeshreddylive

Medical msc are run by govt Universities which are approved by NMC/MCI and yet NMC consider Medical MSc as non-medical rather!? @NMC_IND
Should channelise medical msc courses and give us also registry under medical council as Non-mbbs medical teacher's
Medical MSc courses in the five non-clinical subjects are similar to MD courses. @ugc_india must ask health universities & medical colleges under them to revise the medical MSc courses as per competency based curriculum. @EduMinOfIndia@DrRPNishank
NMC is indeed the regulator but the union government has a bigger responsibility to its people. Thanks to the wisdom & benevolence exhibited by the @MoHFW_INDIA, our people stand a good chance at the right to equality in seeking employment in medical colleges. @mansukhmandviya
