🔴⚪️🔵 Beginning in 1969, RIDOT has helped stripe Hope Street in Bristol with the red, white, and blue center line colors to symbolize America’s continuous Fourth of July celebration.

There’s actually a federal exemption in national road design standards that specifically allows a red, white, and blue center line instead of a traditional yellow center line.

It’s the only road in the country to have this exemption.
