Atmospheric CO2 is currently the highest it’s been in the last 14 MILLION years. Humans did not exist back then.
Earth was in the Middle Miocene epoch.
⚪️ 3-6°C warmer globally
⚪️Sea levels were higher, possibly by 20–40 meters
⚪️No permanent arctic sea ice
⚪️Lush, widespread forests across Europe
⚪️Early apes were thriving
Climate stability is important for many reasons but the big one is evolution. We evolve to perfectly suit the environment around us. Yes, it has been warmer in the past but there have also been widespread extinction as a direct result of rapidly changing climate.
If the climate we are evolved to live in changes rapidly, there is no adaptation, there is no "just getting on with it".
Modern humans evolved roughly 200,000 years ago. Human civilisation is approximately 6,000 years old, during those 6,000 years we've enjoyed a relatively stable climate, this has allowed us to flourish and become a global species.
Temperatures rising & disrupting the stable climate is bad. You can look at a chart and go "well it's been warmer before" but our global civilisation, global food chain supply among many, many other things did not exist back then.
Our species & everything that ensures our survival is built around our CURRENT climate, a rapidly shifting climate completely disrupts that, it's already started to.

The United States has spent EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS fighting and policing in the Middle East. Thousands of our Great Soldiers have died or been badly wounded. Millions of people have died on the other side. GOING INTO THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE WORST DECISION EVER MADE.....
in the 1900s, it was common to dream of the 21st century. when was the last time you heard talk of a 22nd century? it's like we don't believe we're going to make it anymore, but to endure, we MUST dream of futures worth suffering for. please, dare dream of a 22nd century.
OVERLOOKED: Thermal energy storage doesn’t get enough attention.
The world’s thermal storage facility currently being built in Finland will be able to store a whopping 90GWh - that’s 30x more than the largest electric storage facility in operation today.
There is no global warming. It’s all just the Urban Heat Island. This is so obvious because the most warming we’ve seen is where we have the biggest cities and heaps of concrete, like in the Arctic Circle and Siberia.
Climeworks’ capture fails to cover its own emissions '1,700 tons of CO₂ in 2023'
'Since the company began capturing in Iceland, it has captured a maximum of one thousand tons of CO₂ in one year.'
🤦
Is anyone still doubting that this area was kept relatively cool by sulfur emissions from ships?
Sea Surface Temperatures are off the chart.
Anyone who can't see this warming acceleration has their eyes closed.
