Once again, the dual-faced policy of CM Bhagwant Mann's government stands exposed.

After our 15 September protest in Sangrur, the administration said CM @BhagwantMann was unwell and offered a meeting with any Cabinet Minister.

We #1158AssistantProfessorAndLibrarians Front, Punjab secured a meeting on 18 September with Cabinet Sub-committee Ministers @HarpalCheemaMLA, @AroraAmanSunam and @harjotbains. But just hours before today’s scheduled meeting, it was postponed by 20 days.

Our review petition for the #1158Recruitment has already been delayed by 2 months. The @AAPPunjab government continues to stall and mislead.

Tomorrow, on 19 September, we will hold ‘Punjab Sarkar Di Arthiya Phookh’ (Effigy Burning) protests in every district.
If no meeting is held after that, we will GHERAO the CM’s house in Sangrur on Sunday, 21 September.

After our #1158Recruitment was quashed by the Supreme Court,
we came here at CM RESIDENCE Sangrur on July 18
That day, we were promised that all legal remedies — modification, review petition, curative — would be pursued.

But even after 2 months of filing the modification, no review petition was filed (which should’ve been done within a month).

The @PbGovtIndia @AAPPunjab @CMOPbIndia Higher Education Minister @harjotbains show no concern that one full recruitment stands cancelled. #1158AssistantProfessorAndLibrarians and their families are now on the streets.

The Chief Minister @BhagwantMann Sahab, hasn't uttered a single word. The Higher Education Minister has failed to stand by his own statements.

How can we trust them now?
We are left with no choice but to take to the streets.

We #1158AssistantProfessorAndLibrarians protested peacefully more than six hours, just asking why our review petition wasn't filed in the Supreme Court.

No one spoke to us. When we moved ahead, female professors faced male police misconduct — hands on their chests, while lady officers stood aside.

When questioned, an officer mocked our identity.
No nameplates, no accountability.

To CM @BhagwantMann : Don’t think your chair is safe. We’re not the ones who get scared.
If we walk out, we’ll drag your "KURSI" out too.

Who gave the orders to behave in this manner?

“No one’s chunni will be snatched, there will be no lathicharge, we’ll call you to Chandigarh in the evening to resolve the issue” — were these just PR dialogues?

Our female candidate, Assistant Professor Isha Madan @ishamsg777, had her clothes torn and slapped by the administration.

How shameful. What can we even say now?
This act cannot be forgiven.
