As we recently celebrated the birthday of Prof. Yoshikazu Kurosawa, the most significant contribution everyone reminisced was his publication in 1981 in Nature titled “Identification of D segments of immunoglobulin heavy-chain genes and their rearrangement in T lymphocytes” (https://t.co/QhXqfaVqmK) which was gratefully acknowledged by Prof. Susumu Tonegawa in his Nobel Prize for Medicine Lecture, in 1987 (https://t.co/LCwm90wTuB).

Subsequently, we recollected his visit to NCRM, Chennai, India (https://t.co/0q2PyorCR8) in 2010 and his lecture on “Antibody based novel approach to cancer treatment, Present and Future” which was organized by Dr. Pushkala Subramanian, the present Vice Chancellor of The Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, who was then the Professor and Head of the Department of Immunology.
