wow the ignorance and tone deafness is deafening. People have always been against this government just because it's so nicely curated on social media doesn't mean it's the biggest one in the country
yes so that i could post instagram stories that contain easter eggs to the most well-known fics that are vague enough that they can be written off as a coincidence but to the author and the stories biggest fans they KNOW
I hope everyone who called our CAA-NRC protests "non-peaceful" has realised by now that the "peacefulness" of a protest is not decided by the protesters, it's decided by how the state chooses to respond.
not abt oppression Olympics but it is kind of funny that internet jammed for a few hours in delhi makes u say democracy is dead but when we had internet and phone network banned for MONTHS it was crickets…. “essential for maintaining peace” even…
You've to be really naive to think the injustice started with neet paper leak and not with 2002 riots, farm laws, CAA-NRC, Babri masjid, bulldozer justice, gyanvapi mosque, article 370, EVM manipulation and so much more. If your conscience is only awakening now, you were most
India's biggest problem is that it forgets.
Forgot CAA/NRC.
Forgot the Delhi riots.
Forgot the COVID fiasco.
Forgot the farmers' protest.
Forgot migrant workers walking hundreds of kilometres.
Forgot Manipur.
India keep forgetting and applaud the same government for "fixing" problems it helped create.
"You want CJP to be in power" MY brother in christ CJP is not even a registered national party that I or even you can vote for 😭
There are specific criteria a party has to fulfill to get that status??? Aise gawar logo se kaise political debate kru ab
lol, "for the first time?" 2021 farmers' movement sustained a year long protest that forced the state to repeal legislation. compared to that, this movement is barely a footnote. shaheen bagh became the political grammar of mass resistance.
Calm down. He’s asking for the resignation of a Prime Minister, which is his right as a citizen to do - the UK has had 5 such resignations in the last six years.
Only a media that believes Modi must rule forever sees it as “regime toppling”
"For the first time, people are fighting against it." No.
Indian Muslims staged anti-CAA protests against the plot to make them stateless (2019-20).
There was also the farmers' protest (2020-21).
These were the two biggest challenges to the Modi regime.
Why does critcism of the indian gov devolve into a debate about nationalism. Genuinely why are we talking about this instead of the actual issue at hand? Like who even cares about this null value personality trait omfg just the most insane deflection that has us going in circles
One thing is clear, this was not a CJP protest. CJP almost vanished when the repression peaked. This was people hitting the streets and taking over the protest. This is why it was met with such brutality. The state is scared of people, not self appointed leaders.
