I watched a podcast where Linda Ejiofor and her husband, Ibrahim Suleiman, were asked who they would vote for as Best Actor if both of them were up for the same award.
Ibrahim said he would vote for Linda and even convince his supporters to vote for her. He mentioned that she has had an incredible year, which culminated in her winning both Best Lead Actress and Best Supporting Actress at the AMVCA. She won for the Herd and the Serpent’s gift.
Linda answered by saying she would vote for him. She mentioned a movie he starred in that is yet to be released and said she hopes he wins awards for the movie when it does come out.
Maka ndi let’s be honest, Linda could have said she would vote for herself, as she is clearly the superior actor, with the awards to show for it. But instead, she said she would vote for her husband because she knew it would bring him joy, and you could tell from the way his face lit up immediately. It was almost as if he was shocked to hear that.
This is how I expect couples to behave when they are on podcasts.
Leave that honesty BS for strangers.
Prop up your partner in public.
Make them feel like they are the best thing in the world.
Never put down your partner in public because you want to be honest.
Ps: I never skip any video of these two. The way they talk about each other is amazing.

Have you met a vendor that argue with her customer? I did !
A customer once sent me a long market list. As I was going through it, I saw half bag of beans and one full bucket of okro. I had to pause.
So I asked her, “Madam, is this for monthly consumption or are you planning a mini-owambe?”
Because half bag of beans… as how? 😅
She said, “Is it too much?”
I replied, “Yes o! Even the okro is too much for a family of five.
I didn’t just stop there. I asked how often they eat beans in a week and explained that some foods are not meant to be stored in bulk they spoil easily or end up wasted.
After going back and forth, I helped her rewrite the list properly and sensibly.
Guess what? Her original list was ₦285,000, but the revised one came down to ₦196,000 and she still got everything she actually needs.
Sometimes, this work is not just about collecting a list and running errands.
Engage your customer. Guide them, Educate them.
So they don’t regret trusting you with their money.
Good service isn’t just delivery, it’s value.
I am still your Ibadan favorite foodstuffs Vendor.
