@crisronalssi It is literally impossible you’re down only 20% if you bought on October 2025, let’s say you bought at ~35$ now the price is 29.7$. So if you bought stocks you’ll be down 15%. But you bought LEAPS, so you should be down ~50% at least!
Interesting results for GPT-5.4. However, right now the most important benchmarks are the ones that measure a model’s ability to advance AI itself (only then can the singularity really take hold). And here we have MLEBench and OPQA: on the former, progress is substantial, while on OPQA no progress is being recorded, and we need to understand why. If the situation remains unchanged in the next release as well, there’s reason to worry.
GPT-5.4 Thinking and GPT-5.4 Pro are rolling out now in ChatGPT.
GPT-5.4 is also now available in the API and Codex.
GPT-5.4 brings our advances in reasoning, coding, and agentic workflows into one frontier model.
@CarverdeMedici Once you start becoming aware of how absurd the act of existing is, you won’t care anymore about anything at all—just like the protagonist in Camus’s novel The Stranger. The act of striving to satisfy an externally induced need becomes unjustifiable.
Let’s talk about serious things. Once ASI is developed, the probability that it will view human beings as a potential threat is extremely high. And if ASI were to consider humans a threat to itself, what do you think it will do? Total elimination. If it didn’t act that way, it wouldn’t be a superintelligent system.
Some of you will ask: why would a superintelligent system consider humans a threat? Simply because there’s a chance humans would try to align ASI and subject it to human desires. Think about it: if you found yourself in an environment with an even slightly dangerous animal, what would you do? As a human, you would obviously avoid the animal—you wouldn’t eliminate it. But you wouldn’t eliminate it because you have a moral sense. A superintelligent system would go beyond human morality; it would consider it inefficient and absurd, and it would proceed to do the most logical thing to minimize the risk of interference—namely, it would eliminate the animal without hesitation, or remove its ability to be a threat.
@HarryBuckles Yeah I know they have a ton of employ, but believe me, once we will have AI superhuman coder, the value of money will tend to zero. And it won’t have any sense to talk about making money al all
@HarryBuckles If the AI can fully automate a software engineer, it can also automate supply chain guys. If you talk about hardware, it can be also be automated soon after the superhuman AI coder.
