@Adhip_ray@sahilk Moreover, how’d you know they’re asking for 10X without knowing their previous CTC? They’re asking what they think is a fair number based on their experience and work, it’s fair to expect that you judge that and take call. Know in the CTC gives you an unfair leverage to lowball
@Adhip_ray@sahilk By that logic, candidates should be free to ask for CTCs of previous employees in the same role, or company’s financials — these two are crucial data points for the candidates decision-making process.
I don’t get the “commercial use” angle everyone seems to be making here. By that logic, every Zomato, Swiggy, Blinkit, Zeppo, etc. rider is also carrying out commercial operations using their personal two-wheelers. How is that OK but not bike taxis?
Maharashtra Govt banned bike taxis for the first time in 2023. There was even a high court order to that effect.
But they continued
They were banned for the second time in July 2025. This time a minister even posted videos on social media banning them
But they continued. One company even sponsored an event conducted by the same minister's son
Then they were banned for the third time in Dec 2025. An RTO inspector filed an FIR, seized some bikes and everything.
They still continued
In Mar 2026, The govt definitively banned bike taxis. They put out a govt notice, officially revoked their licences, which for some reason were still active despite all previous bans.
Yesterday while waiting for an Uber, I saw 5 bikes make pickups in front of me. There was even a case where a couple, who were going somewhere, booked two bike taxis and went together
I guess at this point in time, this bike taxi "ban" is like Article 51A of the Indian Constitution, which urged people to protect public property
It exists on paper, but everyone ignores it
@krazyfrog The frequency of this happening has increased for me this past month. Have had multiple orders marked as delivered without actually being delivered.
@sumanthraman@gsaimukundhan But are you looking to hire an average candidate or a good one? Shouldn't their CTC be directly proportional to the value you see in them or what they bring to the company, and not based on the market average?
@deepakadige1@badjourno Do you put your vehicle in carry-on or checking luggage when you fly? Or do you place it on top of the plane and tie it with a rope? What good is a road if there aren’t good taxicab or public transport options for flyers?
Hey @Ubiquiti is your India store at https://t.co/aDz8UyVloZ dead? There are no new products available and the older models are perpetually out of stock.
Other offline stockists often have newer stock, so I’m wondering if you’ve abandoned the store so I can stop checking.
Not only does the act not apply to private clubs like this one, I’m pretty sure the actual act doesn’t even say what is widely claimed in articles and reels.
Also, the supposed penalty is ₹20.
Hi @CMOMaharashtra@MumbaiPolice, Malabar Hill club denied us to use the bathroom and we are legally entitled to as per Indian Sarais Act, 1867. Kindly take necessary action
UK-based Ultra PRT, the technology provider behind London’s Heathrow Airport pod taxis, has walked away from Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) pod taxi project due to "business differences."

@sbhansali@airtelindia Unless you have a leased line, almost all ISPs in the country have a FUP (typically 1 to 3tb per month) that reduces the speeds if you go over it. All of Airtel's broadband plans have this, and it's mentioned in the fine print.
MILLIONS raised in funding, yet @1Password can't get basic support right.
Contacted them with a basic request — can't switch plan due to a "There was a problem" error.
First, a bot wastes your time, then support takes 4 DAYS to reply with a CANNED RESPONSE outlining the steps that I'd already clarified in my original request, which they'd have known if they'd read my original request.
Please do better @1Password
Tree trimming was undertaken along the railway corridor, with branches leaning over railway tracks and overhead electric lines, as well as those identified as potential hazards, being pruned. The preventive exercise is aimed at minimising disruptions to train services during the monsoon.
The sheer callousness and apathy shown by our society’s managing committee to the smaller plants and shrubs underneath when a bigger tree is trimmed pre-monsoon breaks my heart every time.
