Gisele Pelicot broke the silence, waived her right to anonymity and stood up for women worldwide as a beacon of hope for victims of abuse.
If youβve been a victim of abuse - you are not alone.
There is help and support.
We are all in awe of her courage.
As we close the 16 days of activism,
Remember Ending Violence Against Women is not a one time campaign, itβs a life long commitment.
A WORLD FREE FROM VIOLENCE STARTS WITH YOU!
Speak up against violence whenever you see it.
Educate others about the impact of gender based violence
Support survivors by listening, believing and standing by them.
Advocate for stronger laws and policies to protect women and girls.
Together we can build a safer more equal world. The journey begins with action.
Men can bring a significant and long lasting impact and change if they stand with women against the many issues women are experiencing in gender based violence.

Men Allyship is something we have been highlighting at Press Red with our #BeLikeBoaz campaign and our Tour Of The Book Of Ruth.
Men ending violence against women.
Love slams doors and breaks things.
Love bombs you with unwanted gifts.
Love calls you names.
Love asks to change your outfit.
Love makes you share your location.
Love controls the purse strings.
Love kills two women a week.
Love is not love when there are red flags.
Jesus dealt with womenβs issues.
This story gives insight and example for us today in listening to women.
Giving safe space to women to voice their story, to remove shame and stigma, heal and restore their dignity and freedom.
#16DaysOfActivism#EndViolenceAgainstWomen
Gender stereotyped behaviour socialises men to be tough and strong. Courageous. Domineering. To push down emotion except anger, and to show no fear. This produces a fertile ground for men to be controlling, dominant and violent towards women.
