Yesterday, Tanzania Defence Forces crossed into Angata Barikoi and opened fire on civilians. Yet the Government of Kenya remains silent, as though nothing has happened.

If foreign forces can enter Kenyan territory and endanger the lives of Kenyan citizens without a strong response from the state, then serious questions must be asked. A nation that cannot speak up when its people are threatened risks failing in its most basic duty: protecting its citizens and defending its sovereignty.

Postmortem report reveals that Benard Cheruiyot, 40 years old was beaten to death at Keringet Police Station.

On 30th March 2026, we brought this issue into limelight after noticing a familiar script by police claiming that Benard hit himself on the wall.

It is now revealed that Benard is a victim of torture and murder inside the police cell.

We demand immediate action against all of those responsible for the murder of Mr Benard Cheruiyot including the police spokesperson who lied that Benard hit himself on the wall.

We cannot normalize cases of murder inside police cells.
