For MOST of you... and I know some of my fellow educators will disagree with this...

You should stop trying to "convert" your Shorts audience to Long Form...

You should just build both audiences and make the best SHORTS possible and the best LONG FORM possible.

You're trying to consolidate your audience because that benefits YOU.

But what you might want to consider is how you can put the AUDIENCE First...

some Creators don't appreciate their audience enough

if someone:
- comments on your video
- sends you a DM
- replies to your tweet
- etc.

you can at least Like/Reply to a FEW

not saying engage with everyone, that's hard

but EVEN A FEW will go a long way

stop egoing them

My goal isn’t to help you get famous or go viral…

It’s more realistic but slightly more ambitious at the same time…

I want to grow the CREATOR MIDDLE CLASS…

Being a $50,000 to $100,000 a year Creator that works 20-40 hours a week can be more normal…

I want to see this become a legitimate career just like Web Design and Graphic Design over the next 10 years and for Creators to get their RESPECT without having to be famous…

You should be able to fund your retirement with the money you made from your content… get that down payment on your first home like I did, all from being a Creator.

I want Creators to have a career and business they own and not just be Digital Share Croppers for the platforms…

You don’t need millions, you need 1000 True Fans that want the best for you because you gave them your best.

That’s the VISION and MISSION I am working towards.

I know it won’t be easy and that I’ll have build a thicker skin…
And to work even harder…

But I know that it can happen.

TikTok is in decline since the end of the pandemic and nobody wants to admit it.

Twitch is in turmoil and people can barely admit it.

Discord is financially running on fumes with profitability nowhere in sight.

The most stable platforms for content creation are YouTube, Instagram , LinkedIn, Podcasts and Newsletters.

A 20-year old creator said this to me recently.

The most worrying thing? This was a creator making $50k/month… with a team.

The “all in” mentality is a terrible idea for 99% of creators.

You need margin.

I’d recommend at least 40% profit margins for any creator making under $1m a year.

“But MrBeast reinvests every cent he makes”

You’re probably not MrBeast. He’s an outlier among outliers.

Most creators should focus on steady growth, decent margins and stack up a 12 month saving fund of living expenses.
