Now you can switch modes directly via the UI and set default editor mode

It took 17 years, but Mojang finally added cushions to Minecraft that let you sit.

As Mojang will now report directly to the new Xbox CEO, we might be seeing more updates like this in the future.

But what does this actually mean? Is Mojang trying to catch up to Hytale?

Legally 100% Mojang owns anything to do with all parts of the game, including mods, add-ons, etc. They have ALL the rights.

That doesn't mean that we turn a blind eye when they snipe someone elses exact idea and implementation of that idea after having a meeting with them.

No, they don't owe the modder anything, but professionally, and from their huge platform of power, should they at the very least give a nod to the team they got this "Place cushions on anything in the game and sit on them" implementation? Yeah, that would be the right thing to do minimum... if they really wanted to do whats right, they would go even further and fairly monetarily compensate the mod team for their work, not because they have to, but because they are worth billions of dollars, and it's smart PR and the right thing to do to throw a few thousand dollars to a team that did good work, and it looks good when you show that you appreciate that work and want to reward their time and efforts.

Don't normalize trash behavior just because you like the game. Continue liking the game, continue praising the things you like about the game, while also being able to critique anything bad that does come about.

The issue isn't that they took ilan idea from the modded community.

Its that they met with a modded team about a marketplace pack, got shown this specific feature, and seemingly are using it feature for feature, without the professionalism of letting this team know, or crediting them in even a minor way.

It screams unprofessional and scummy HOW they did it.
