@greg60328592@Prominent_Bryan I have no idea what you are raving about, their situation was easy to avoid with simple tax planning available to everyone
@greg60328592@Prominent_Bryan Sad because they could have easily avoided the situation with proper tax planning, people like to blame others for their own doings
@NewBlueON Like it or not the majority of Crown Royal is sold in the United States, the failed Ford Government has had a lot of opportunities to make it more attractive for Crown Royal to continue business in Ontario, but he is more concerned about the BS over radar cameras
@AntiHateNetwrk@Prominent_Bryan I'm just pointing out that the CRA provides very good tax deferred strategies like RRSPs, sounds to me people like to blame the government for their own faults, the parents could have sat down with a financial planner a created a plan using life insurance in case they died early
@greg60328592@Prominent_Bryan I could not disagree more, the parents did quite well for themselves given the generosity of the government's tax deferred plans, I'm just sad they died before enjoying it
@Prominent_Bryan@againstgovt1 Life insurance policies for tax planning are rarely a good idea except for business owners or high net worth individuals who have maxed out all of their RRSPs and TFSAs
@AntiHateNetwrk@Prominent_Bryan No, the point of the RRSP is to save for retirement, in this case the parent's retirement, the RRSP rules are very generous
@Prominent_Bryan@snoble Maybe, if the parents had lived they would have received nothing, the tax deferred funds were designed for the parents not the kids, except in certain circumstances, if the kids are independent then they should be happy with what they received
