Why are you in the portal? Yes, sometimes it’s the best option, but why are You in the portal? Especially the young players that are not starters, why are you leaving?

If you are a starter, isn’t the goal to get to the NFL? Playing teams like Ohio State and Oregon and Penn State on prime time TV, every year sure looks good on film. Yes, you have a new coach..the NFL coaching turnover is crazy! You will have a new coach every year or every other year depending on what team you end up on, assuming you make it. Yes, the HC left but it was you players that were out there making plays. Build on last year, stay together, go hard this off season, prove that you are the starter, prove that you’re a baller regardless of the coach or system. This is what you will have to do, assuming you make it in the NFL.

If you are NOT a starter, why would you transfer? You haven’t done anything yet. You’re going to go somewhere else and have to prove it on the field to earn a starting spot with a coach you don’t know…That’s the same situation HERE! Only you’re not new here, you’re already established and familiar with everything here. You’re acting like you’re not at Washington, a top 5 program, like UW isn’t a conference champion, like UW isn’t the Sugar Bowl Champion. Like we just didn’t play in the NATTY. This is your chance to start being a leader on the team and show the incoming freshman what it is to be a Husky. Why are you transferring again?

Who is mentoring you? Is it someone who has played at the next level? Is it someone who has asked all the right questions and considered your situation? Would you go see a dentist for knee surgery? No! Seek council and advice from someone who can actually give you sound advice on this specific situation.

Understand this truth!

Competition, constant development and proving yourself as a player is what you are going to experience every single week in the NFL! Every Tuesday they bring in 4 to 10 guys at every position, to workout, to see if they can swap you out for a better, newer, cheaper player at your position. There is no portal for you to run into, you will have to prove that you belong every week and every year, year after year. Stop running away from competition, from adversity. Stop being a follower and trend chaser and be a leader and legacy builder. Prove it to the next staff that you are who you say you are. This will be your situation every single day should you make it in the NFL.

There’s only a couple good reason to hit the portal. Yes, sometimes it’s the right option BUT why are YOU in the portal?

Caleb Williams 1stH at home vs Arizona this week:
4/10, 93 yards

Retweet it because the east coast was asleep for both games.
