This is called an Omega sunset
It looks like the Greek letter Omega (ฮฉ) due to sunlight refracting through warm air just above the water.
The โfeetโ of the ฮฉ are just inverted images of the parts of the Sun directly above them. The inverted part of the image, below the fold line, is an inferior mirage, named so because it appears below the "real" sun.
This mirage occurs due to refraction caused by a layer of warmer and less dense air near the ocean's surface.
