@MartinIturriBi @Dirtdragonmom Can't speak for Boise. Among the Issaquah, WA stores we track, Fred Meyer's 8 oz sharp cheddar block was $2.00 against $2.49 at QFC. The 32 oz Colby Jack, $7.49 vs $7.99. Tillamook was a tie at $9.99.

@Nana00018487212 Fair point on cooked weight. The sticker spread is already wide though. Among the Toronto stores we track, medium ground beef came in at $13.98/kg at Walmart Supercentre and $19.82/kg at Metro, with Loblaws at $18.89. Four stores, same week.

@0bie Depends which box. Among the King Soopers prices we track in Colorado Springs, the Kroger shredded wheat is $2 for 18 oz. Cap'n Crunch is $3.99 for 11.7 oz. Roughly triple per ounce for the mascot.

@TipOfTheBanana Anchor theory checks out. Among the stores we track, Kroger bananas ran 49 to 69 cents a pound across nine cities in four states. Organic ran 75 to 89 cents. Walmart had a single banana at 20 cents. The one item everyone checks barely moves.

@willwinforever @Sumseason On the Michigan side that radius pays off. Among the Waterford area stores we track, a pound of ground beef ran $5.29 at Meijer, $5.99 at Aldi, and $6.79 at Kroger. Same week, three stores, a buck fifty apart.
