Planted in the spring?-> Perennial plots will have weed pressure. Follow chemical recommendations per mix + take necessary actions to stay ahead of the weed pressure by clipping annual weeds to spraying weeds in clover plots. Don't allow those weeds to get worse!

MYTH! Mixing annual and perennial plots allows you to take advantage of those hard to get to areas with a perennial plot. They can last 3-5 years at a time if they're managed correctly. Allow yourself to spend more time enjoying them instead of working on them!

Seed depth placement + Seedbed depth. 👉Pay attention to the recommended seeding depth/rate and follow them as closely as possible. For example, a clover or brassica mix seeded at an inch deep will have poor emergence as it's planted too deep.

When the temps get colder, deer want to spend less energy looking for food. By planting high energy food sources like brassicas and grain near bedding areas, wildlife will feel more comfortable and less stressed headed into the cold winter months.
