The most astonishing thing about Bitcoin for me is that Satoshi Nakamoto “got it” at his first shot.
- Timestamping
- SHA256 & ECDSA
- 21M supply
- halving every 4 years
- one block each 10’
- difficulty adjustment every two weeks.
He chose the “right order of magnitude” for each of them. We could have had also 25M as supply, halving in 3.5 years, one block every 15’ and difficulty adjustment every 10 days and likely it would have worked as well, because the order of magnitude was correct in each of them.
So incredible that is breathtaking.
And, as he said, version 0.1 is set in stone for its lifetime.
Here’s my reply to the President’s post:
No, Mr. President (@POTUS).
Respectfully, in spite of all your RESOUNDING SUCCESS this term, you are failing to understand why the Epstein files are so important to the public.
It’s about what the Epstein files REPRESENT.
They represent a DEEPLY COMPROMISED national security apparatus, where foreign “friends” or foes are leveraging blackmail against our government officials and have essentially captured our government.
They represent an unwillingness to pursue justice for the victims: if they were trafficking, TO WHOM were they trafficking?! If there are “THOUSANDS” of rape videos, WHO WAS DOING THE RAPING?!
Sir, with the deepest respect for you, I and so many others are hurt by your take on this issue.
We are counting on you to be our advocate, and you have been in SO MANY WAYS, but then in this case when all the facts appear to say otherwise, you essentially say “nothing to see here, why are you so worried about it?”.
The American people have been teased in vain with the prospect of justice for years—THAT is why we’re still talking about it.
The public is COUNTING ON YOU to be the person who would finally expose how captured our institutions are by a man who appeared to be an intelligence operative running a honeypot operation designed to leverage those in power.
The public is COUNTING ON YOU, President Trump, to put an end to whatever leverage was or is being utilized to compromise our nation’s leadership and other elites in our country.
We are counting on you to see how important this is and to put an end to it, and instead of delivering on this, you have slapped and spit in the face of those who deeply admire you, including myself, somebody who voted FOR and adamantly supports you.
You have accused the American public of having a “weird” obsession with a creep, but with all your IMMENSE SUCCESS (truly!) you are failing to appreciate that the American public BELIEVES the imminent threat to America via the Epstein situation is REAL and ONGOING.
Until you understand how important this issue is to YOUR PEOPLE that I know you deeply care about, I fear you unfortunately will continue to ENTIRELY miss the mark on this, and that it will mar the extent to which history can appreciate all the EXCELLENT work you have done.
I’m on your side, Mr. President. AND I wish you would appreciate what the Epstein scandal IMPLIES to the American people about how RIGGED and COMPROMISED their government is.
Your supporters want a report (akin to the one given by the DoD detailing the B2 Bomber mission against Iran’s nuclear facilities) which thoroughly dispels lingering national security threats, answering questions like: At whose behest did Epstein gather blackmail leverage? On whom did Epstein have compromising sexual blackmail material? Who was doing the raping in the vids.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and you are refusing to shed that light. Instead, you rebuke the public for wanting to know the TRUTH and accuse your supporters of being “selfish people”.
When you downplay how important the issue is to the public without providing said report, it makes the people wonder—and we pray not because we LOVE YOU—if you, sir, are also implicated in the Epstein files.
We believe this is not the case, but your communication on this issue undermines that trust.
If you continue on this route without providing more transparency, eventually that eroded trust may evolve into suspicion, even if in actuality you’ve done nothing wrong.
9-5 jobs are comfort money.
They give you just enough money to make it hard to leave.
Then you buy a car, buy a house, and have kids. Then it's just too much risk to leave the job.
Next thing you know, you blink, and you're 60.
