🇻🇪 Update: I spent the morning with Venezuelans digging for their family members. They live in tents here, sometimes needing IVs due to dehydration. Every day they are pulling bodies out—some days finding more than 10. We are bringing tools & supplies to help however we can.

The Trump Administration and the international community will not stand by as the Murillo-Ortega dictatorship deepens repression at home and manufactures instability that threatens U.S. national security. Ortega’s pledge to abolish elections in Nicaragua proves his cowardice and fear of the Nicaraguan people’s will.

For more than six decades, the Cuban regime has been the leading sponsor of radical leftism and Third Worldism in the United States.
The State Department is exposing the full history of Cuban espionage and subversion in our country.

I hate being this person, but it’s about damn time someone says something.
As far as I know, there aren’t many people in the U.S. who are fully bilingual and closely following both the English- and Spanish-language political ecosystems closely enough to catch this.
I’d genuinely like to know whether @alexbruesewitz and others in President Trump’s orbit—who have rightly raised concerns about foreign influence campaigns targeting American public opinion—are aware of what Javier Negre appears to be doing.
His content goes far beyond commentary. It appears to be an effort to shape public opinion in the United States regarding Venezuela, María Corina Machado, and broader Latin American politics in ways that conflict with the positions consistently maintained by President Trump and the U.S. State Department.
For those who don’t speak Spanish: in this interview, Javier praises Delcy Rodríguez. He has previously claimed she is somehow “right-wing”—an extraordinary assertion—and, in this clip, argues there is freedom of speech in Venezuela. He even says: “And I thank her, and this is a sign that things are changing.”
Even more concerning, this portion was allegedly omitted from the version of the interview he publicly released, despite his repeated emphasis on transparency.
For context, another Real America’s Voice reporter (colleague of his) did not receive the same access or treatment. American journalists were turned away from filming parts of the earthquake’s aftermath and were not permitted to interview Delcy Rodríguez or ask her difficult questions directly, while Javier Negre was granted that access and is seen thanking and praising her in this interview.
This is also someone who frequently touts his alleged insider access to Trump officials based on his White House press credentials—which is obviously problematic.
He has also faced multiple legal disputes in Spain (where he is from) and Argentina. (These are easily verifiable with a Google search).
In my opinion, he has become an embarrassment. Despite how he presents himself, I do not believe he represents the professionalism or credibility that Hispanic Americans deserve from journalists or political commentators. I hope the administration carefully considers who it grants access to, particularly when that access can be leveraged to build influence, monetize perceived proximity to power, or attack/defame others while engaging in the very conduct he accuses them of.
