REMEMBER HIM? Posted about him a few days ago - 13-year-old David Raymond, the sole survivor of the attack that claimed his entire family in Kawel village, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State on June 22, has succumbed to his injuries after fighting for his life for 18 days in the hospital.

I just read that he didn't make it. He fought for 18 whole days and finally went to be with the Lord, thereby closing the chapter of life in his entire family.

This has become the sad fate of Christian kids and families in much of Nigeria today. May his innocent soul rest in peace.

The Minister of Defence according to reports earns over N700k, which is more than N7m a year. That's just salary.

The same minister also gets:
- More than N16m as accommodation allowance.
- More than N6m as furniture allowance.
- About N8m for motor vehicle allowance.
- Over N810k for Leave allowance per year.
-Severance Gratuity of over N6m that is paid after completing his tenure which can be any number of year(s).

But Musa the Defense Minister wants the public to celebrate that soldiers who risk their lives on a daily basis and remain underappreciated and probably underequipped, are now being paid just "N100,000" monthly.

Soldiers get N1.2m for working tirelessly, while the Defense Minister who only gives speeches and appears on TV gets more than N7m alone as basic salary. Wonderful country.
