I have 2 Oneshot miners, One of them has an error on connecting to the market at 60% boot point. Seems like it loops in retry and eventually quits. The it just has "Make it Better" on the screen. The other unit connected to the same Wifi netowrk seems to be fine. Haven't rebooted it yet to see if it will fail during boot as well.
From my own personal experince this is absolutely on target. Perfect example of my journey - from 270lbs to now a stable 205lbs +/-5 for over 4 years.
On all the drugs - could see what was happening. What changed - I retired and facing a downward spiral - focused on my health.
Exampes of what I did/changed.
1 Returned to the Bicycle -trails saved my life!
2 Intermittant fasting - Changed me in 3-4 weeks
3 Physical Therapy with a real focus on my issues
4 Slowed down and spent lots of time in Zone 2
5 Swimming - until I could swim over a mile
6 Changed my diet to eliminate Processed foods
Over a 2 year time I weaned from all the meds w the blessing of my doctor. My LDL last fall was still high but ratio was fine. Really pushing hard to avoid seed oils last few months and feel even better now.
The usual solution is to correct and move on. That is put in place a modern digital system and move forward. Digitizing past records - at least all of them would be a waste of money. We helped many medical and other offices move to a digital system (EMR for example).
If records have to be pulled/retrieved for some reason - then those records and key information are then entered and scanned as required.
The good news is that people eventually - well they die - so over time they are no longer retired.
Can't disagree that the threat vectors are different but there is no magic 100% perfect system.
@tacertain@jhscott@colmmacc@_msw_@MarcJBrooker I worked at Bell Labs in the very redundant Telephone system - I began to see how complexity increased with redundancy. So not sure if it was my original thought, but I began to tell people that complexity goes up with the square of redundancy. A 2x system is 4x complex.
@MikeJaytrackxc@DrakeRelays Hey, I was in that picture too. But hats off to Randy. Definitely the best ever 800 guy and most likely 1000yds and a few other things. And a really nice guy to boot. Happy birthday Randy.
