the fentanyl crisis is an american issue. the leading amount of deaths caused by it is here. america is also inherently tied to christianity. ironically, that happens to be a recovery tool for for many addicts. rue’s “may God bless America,” is an sardonic prayer— bc it’s screwed
i'm surprised that no one realised this was a fuck you to the american ideal and how hard it is to achieve it. moses never makes it to the promised land. rue never makes it to the homestead. none of us will ever make it when the deck is stacked against us, so what good is god?
fentanyl does kill. stop taking these pills, stop doing coke. sam levison did a lot of fucked up shit this season but the thing he got right is how fentanyl is taking everyone and everything n he took a major tv show to highlight how bad the problem is getting
@balisongbastard@suboxoneshawty this show just put out a grim message about the danger of drugs and people aren’t happy about the ending. that’s the discourse. i’m not speaking on addicts and how we solve addiction
@balisongbastard@suboxoneshawty so saying these things as if i personally care or as if euphoria is real therapy for people years into addiction. i just don’t know what to tell you. this show is for young adults who may be dabbling recreationally and i think sam told a real raw ending to what could happen
@balisongbastard@suboxoneshawty hahaha you guys are too much why do you think saying these things changes what the original thing was which is the message of the show. you just don’t like the ending sam wanted to tell which is the unfortunate more realistic ending
@manickitty1312 i think they did that by showing how rue chanced taking her most abused drug 1 more time and it was the time that killed her. just the way it happens every day to normal people everywhere. i think sam was clearly inspired this season by the obvious close personal friend he lost
@lexuhpr0@Jara_Films good if they already know then the message is for everyone else what are you not understanding? i’m talking about the message of the show
@CrustPunk161@suboxoneshawty you guys are reading into this far too much i’m not saying euphoria is the cure for addicts you’re actually muppets. i’m saying it’s the message of the show “don’t do drugs or you might fuck with fentanyl and die”
@Jara_Films@lexuhpr0 okay so because they killed rue addicts will now think they don’t stand a chance. surely they won’t just be more informed and aware for the fentanyl epidemic. the same way young people who have never done drugs before will. the same way people who do it recreationally will
