Dolly Parton spent her life helping kids, marginalized communities and people in need, while entertaining millions.
She never had to, she chose to.
In a world full of wannabe Donald Trumps, choose to be a Dolly Parton.
Israel has said that paper kites flown by Palestinian children will be treated as weapons of war.
Read that again.
This is the reality of genocide: the total destruction of innocence, freedom and joy.
End all military cooperation with Israel, now.

IS THE POST OFFICE WAITING FOR BETTY BROWN TO DIE BEFORE IT PAYS UP??
Betty Brown ran the Annfield Plain Post Office in County Durham with her husband Oswall from 1985 to 2003. Good business. Nice customers. No problems.
Then Horizon arrived in 2000, built by Fujitsu @fujitsu_uk, and the till started lying.
First night it was £500 short.
Within weeks it was £1,500 to £1,600 a week, every week.
Betty and Oswall paid every shortfall out of their own pocket because the alternative was being branded a thief.
They handed over more than £50,000. Betty says the real figure was closer to £100,000.
That was their retirement money, poured into a hole created by software nobody at the @PostOffice bothered to question.
Betty was never prosecuted. Small mercy. Instead a manager decided she was too old for the job and needed replacing with someone who understood the technology.
She was pushed out in 2003.
Oswall died a year later.
Betty believes the stress helped kill him, and says his dying thoughts were about whether the Post Office had finally been in touch.
She spent the next two decades fighting for compensation while the people who built and defended a broken system kept their salaries, their bonuses and their pensions.
In 2025, aged 92, Betty finally settled her claim.
In 2026 she received an OBE from King Charles at Windsor Castle.
She used the moment to tell him that money does not equal justice, and asked him to pass that on to the Prime Minister.
She still had not received a single penny of her settlement by the time she collected the medal.
That is the British state's idea of closure. Ruin someone for over two decades then hand them a piece of metal before the cheque clears.
Betty says every subpostmaster caught up in the Horizon scandal deserves the same recognition she got.
She is right. None of them asked for a medal. They asked for their money and their names back.

Sandy Weiswasser is 87 and has volunteered as a Kennedy Center tour guide for eighteen years. She told the New York Times the place is now a black hole. She keeps showing up anyway, guiding the handful of visitors who come mainly to see the damage.
The center once had 140 guides working in ten languages for 400,000 visitors a year. Since Trump installed himself as chair, purged the board and handed the building to loyalists, it has lost roughly ninety percent of its staff and effectively all of its paying audience. Staff were escorted out with twenty minutes to pack, on days they nicknamed Firing Fridays. Try transplanting that.
Try transplanting that. Imagine a French president declaring the Louvre insufficiently patriotic, sacking its directors over a weekend, bolting his own name above the pyramid and emptying the galleries. Paris would be ungovernable by Thursday. The Élysée would not last the week.
Americans keep being told this is renovation. It is not. It is a state dismantling its own cultural inheritance and calling the rubble a rebrand, while an 87-year-old woman does the only serious work left in the building, which is refusing to look away.

Israel abducted a 20-year-old woman from her home in the occupied West Bank in the middle of the night on June 2.
Her name is Sama Safi.
She is not a combatant.
She is an American-Palestinian university student.
She has now been caged in an Israeli dungeon for 58 days — without charges, without reason.
And yet, the same voices that claim to care about human rights have nothing to say.
No outrage. No headlines. No urgent calls for her freedom.
Because Sama is Palestinian, her story is ignored.
