Sonny Perdue also told reporters on Wednesday that the chances for MFP 3.0 in 2020 were less than 10%. He said MFP is a trade disruption program, not a price support, so the fact that prices have not gone up does not mean that more aid is necessary.

Interesting results presented by University of Illinois at ASA conference this week. Fall vs Spring ammonia on corn production: ammonia applied in fall is as effective as in spring in corn yield.
What better way to start off the first day of #summer than with a mild/severe case of Sulfentrazone injury on VE soybeans? Heavy rain after application but before emergence is conducive for injury. Cool temps at emergence will enhance damage. Is it April or June? #plant19
As if we don't already have enough to worrie about this #plant19 season. Slugs are present in both crops. Soybean fields with no-till practices have been the heaviest with rye cover being the worst. Control options are slim. Only in extreme cases may see a reduction in yield.
Reuters reports that #China has now found armyworm in 18 provinces (was 15 last week). This detection map from USDA shows just the 15 affected areas. Unsure which 3 additional provinces are affected, but they can't afford for it to spread to the #corn-heavy Northeast.
For #MemorialDayWeekend my twin boys Victor and Eldon learned an old tradition for a new generation. Honoring the hero's of our country that are now long gone, is by far the most satisfying part of our evening. They were the utmost respectful, and I was a proud father.
Armyworms truly live up to their name. Thousands caught within minutes. Coming out of a ryegrass cover crop just looking for a #wheat or #corn field to chow down. Scouting is essential this time of year. #spray19#plant19#AgTwitter
#Plant19 is beginning, please remember that we're all just trying to get to work. So, please use caution as you share the road whether you're a farmer, agronomy applicator, or pedestrian. Everyone has family that wants them to come home safely. #Agronomy#Farming
While the rain may keep us from what's left of #harvest18. It gives us an opportunity to sit down and analyze some #yield data. @FieldView makes it easy to keep track of on-farm trials. Soybean fungicide paid big on this one!
Harvested my last @SyngentaUS Trivapro trial. Amazing late season stalk quality and an overall advantage of 48 BPA over the un-treated check. $122.50 ROI per acre. This is what it's all about folks, making the grower more money! #harvest18#fungicide#GoWithTheRightPeople
