We need to work with nature now more than ever before. Today I made a very short film poem in response to @poets4theplanet's #BeginAfresh campaign. Join us as we start again, and work for a better way of living on this planet.
Andy Burnham yesterday, before Robert Jenrick condemned a social care policy that doesn't yet exist:
"Please can we have a factual debate? Can we allow people to weigh up the different options… and then just come to a considered view based on those facts?
“I don’t think it should be too much to ask, because I think the public will give us their view. They’ll make it really clear what they feel they can accept and what they can’t.
“We won’t get to that point if there’s all of this stuff swirling around, and everyone frightened about everything. That just won’t get us there.”

And just as they are about to appear on @GMB national heroes Ashley Smith and Peter Hammond have published the new @WindrushWasp Thames Water sewage dumping map.
All of the TW treatment works shown have illegally dumped sewage in the last 5 years. Ones with black outlines should have been upgraded by 2025 but TW keep the money and used it to pay executive bonuses.

@stoneandthestar Gemma books had a (slightly) different feel, maybe because they were written late 60s & aimed at older readers (pre/young teens). I didn't keep my copies & I'm not sure they'd hold up as well as her earlier books but it was great to have more good stories about girls at the time!
@stoneandthestar I've never read White Boots - think I'm going to have to track it down! I have my mother's childhood copy of Ballet Shoes, I've read it so many times that the Fossils are family, it fuelled so many fantasies of what living in London could be! Did you ever read the Gemma series?
The Government wants to push through water legislation, locking in a failed privatised system for decades without giving the public a say.
I’ve signed the petition to stop this water stitch-up and demand a public consultation. Add your name: https://t.co/MxEE823lS6
Refugees shouldn't have to wait 20 years to know if they are safe. New rules are leaving families separated and lives in limbo.
Join the campaign calling on Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood to scrap the 20-year wait. https://t.co/k6gTxI7bWi via @38degrees
🚨 An undercover sting just exposed alarming loopholes in Westminster’s weak lobbying system: a fake Chinese company bought meetings with ministers and MPs, and it may not have even broken any rules! ✍️ Sign & share: https://t.co/YMcyulU0GH via @38degrees
When’s the last time you saw a hedgehog? 🦔 Their numbers are falling, so I just signed a petition to make hedgehog highways - tiny gaps in fences to help them - mandatory in ALL new builds. Add your name: https://t.co/eK4uVzhu0g
