This week, the PRIO Centre on Gender, Peace and Security co-hosted the 25th Anniversary Conference on Women, Peace and Security with Forum 1325.
The conference gathered civil society, researchers and policy makers to assess WPS progress and future directions amid global challenge

Dr. Louise Olsson moderated the panel on 'UN Peacekeeping Missions and Promotion of Women's Participation' at the 6th Int. conference Action with Women and Peace, Seoul.
The panel discussed best practices and how to ensure that advancement of the WPS agenda is sustainable.
"We are in a major recession of the effectiveness of civil resistance as a technique, just as it's becoming so common around the world.
So the big puzzle is: why has non-violent resistance been increasing in frequency but declining in its effectiveness?," asks @EricaChenoweth.
“Civil society can save, improve and renew democracy," says @EricaChenoweth at PRIO's Annual Peace Address.
