This happened nearly 2 years ago but nothing has changed.
This isn’t about how much money we’ve lost. It’s about the care and time we put into raising these animals.
We need change. I will say this everyday until I loose my voice
@DenLeonard@DrBrianMay Thanks for your comment. However, I meant the test is failing me in the context that we have the skin test every 60 days and we loose 3-10 animals. However, we had a blood test for the first time in 3 years and lost 55 animals. The skin test is failing us.
I found @DrBrianMay documentary a hard watch, not only was he using the farmers emotions for the views but he was also spouting facts without hard scientific evidence. It’s true the test isn’t accurate and is failing us but there is more to this problem
AHDB is disappointed with BBC Two’s "Brian May: The Badgers, The Farmers and Me." Despite our efforts to provide accurate, peer-reviewed evidence on bovine TB and the impact of badger culling, key facts were omitted. We'll be reflecting on the programme and next steps.
I’m appalled that bovine TB has been turned into a crude, virtual reality style, TV show by @DrBrianMay & @BBCTwo
If you really want to help bTB Control work directly with farmers & vets, don’t turn their horrendous plight into a public TV sensation

This year’s RASE Student Award for the @UniOfReading goes to BSc Agricultural Business Management student, Mary Raymond.
The award recognises her outstanding engagement and contributions to discussions on current farm business management topics.
Mary’s award consists of a year of free membership to RASE and was presented to her by Head of School, Professor Simon Mortimer, at the School’s graduation event. Congratulations Mary! 👏
Are politicians listening to young farmers?
Having just graduated, Mary wants to know if the politicians are listening to young farmers and if they're willing to assure them their industry is protected.

Last night I chaired the 58th annual University of Reading Agricultural conference for the second year in a row. The topic was Transforming Agriculture: The Impact of Emerging Technologies.
Thank you to the 3 speakers for your interesting talks, the audience really engaged.
