This is the kinda nonsense I was talking about yesterday. Africans are the worst enemies to other enterprising Africans. It's wild that 116 people can hold a $16 billion project at ransom with regional benefits for over 200m people.

These 'farmers' fail to realize how their overall productivity will improve anywhere they are relocated to in East Africa as a result of this refinery: Cheaper fuel, cheaper fertilizer which takes a few days from factory to shelf to their farm, a better developed port, much more demand in that area generally for consumables.

Some prices are worth paying for to move forward as a society. I find it weird that folks in 3rd world countries want to practice 1st world liberal individualism then cry daily about why they live in undeveloped societies. This is development, deal with it.

I might get killed for this, but Abbott Elementary, Superstore, My Wife and Kids, Fresh Prince, Brooklyn 99, Modern Family, The Office US and Kim’s Convenience are ALL better than Friends lol

Like Thomas Frank to Tottenham right?

[Raj Chohan @rajsinghchohan]

Iraola now complaining of this interesting. My learning point from this from a sporting director lens: do not let the micro obscure the macro. I do not give a stuff about Slot lacking fast wingers or the lack of Trent ball progression replacement if the players are simply not fit enough to last 90 minutes. Fitness is a rate limiting factor independent of the other variables.

[Luís Figo @LuisFigo]

Today I join others from across our game and call for Gianni Infantino to resign as FIFA President.

Infantino has debased the office that he promised to elevate. He has lied, deceived and tried to feather his own nest at the expense of the game he is supposed to serve.

He has lost the support of his senior staff, his closest advisers, the vast majority of people who devote their lives to this sport and even, it would seem, the FIFA Peace Prize winner.

It is too late to save his dignity but it is not too late to save football. He should go. Now.

France give Deschamps another Euros & World Cup.His coaching style has limitations which culminated in the first 80 mins vs Argentina.France should be overwhelming teams with their vast talent level. Zidane had the makings of retaining pragmatism but evolving their style of play.

Only FIVE clubs have been permanently awarded a Champions League trophy 🏆

Liverpool are the only English club amongst them

🚨💣 Andoni Iraola, set to become the next Liverpool manager as revealed earlier today!

The negotiations will move forward quickly to get it done with formal steps but #LFC decision made…

…Iraola will be the next manager. 🛑🔜

[Priston Bett @PristBett]

RT @David_Ornstein: 🚨 Andoni Iraola clear favourite to succeed Arne Slot as Liverpool boss. #LFC may talk to other candidates like Stuttgar…

[Liverpool FC @LFC]

Liverpool FC can confirm Arne Slot is to depart his role as head coach with immediate effect and that the process to appoint a successor is under way.

He leaves with a Premier League title to his name and our deepest gratitude and appreciation.

[Mohamed Salah @MoSalah]

I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.

Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.

Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.

Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.

As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.

[Keir Starmer @Keir_Starmer]

Congratulations to Sabastian Sawe on an historic run, and to everyone taking part in the London Marathon today.

A huge effort from thousands of participants, volunteers and supporters from right across the country.

[Mohamed Salah @MoSalah]

With these pictures showing the bond we shared, I almost felt I could get away with saying nothing about you leaving. It’s been an honour to be your teammate and your friend. You’ve won it all and you leave as a legend. I’m sure we will meet again.

[Liverpool FC @LFC]

We can confirm Andy Robertson will bring his Reds career to an end at the conclusion of the current season.

He will do so as a Liverpool legend ❤️
