The current medical education system that forces students to focus on solving MCQs is a huge problem that needs to be addressed. A bad intern becomes a bad PG and then a bad a professor and then the cycle continues.

Why would an average Indian be uncomfortable with inheritance tax or wealth redistribution, even when the official line is "if you are not a billionaire, you don't have to worry" ?

1. They know from experience that the billionaires will escape. That's how our system was, is and will be. It's like draining a lake to kill a crocodile 🐊. Only the fish will die.

2. Their morals don't allow stealing from others' pockets. A country of 1.4 billion is not held in check by law enforcement or judiciary, but by their own morals. Every parent tells their kids that their friends may have bigger chocolates, fancier toys or better pencils, but they must never think of stealing . "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's stuff" is our fundamental ethos.
