It’s valid to take the view music is haram but what’s so problematic is how poor scholarship, socialisation, and culture has wrongly raised it as an issue of ‘ijma’ and clear cut prohibition.

To say that instruments are clear cut haram isnt accurate. Just because one opinion is a majority does not mean that the minority opinion is invalid. The opinion that musical instruments are permissible IS still valid even if it's not the majority

You’d have a heart attack if you saw half the stuff great scholars viewed as permissible. It’s not shocking from an usuli POV. Just a social POV.

Hijab did azhar online (I know people on his cohort lol) and I suspect adnan doing the same. Even still many official in person azhar people don’t even attend classes, but just turn up for exams. Seeking Ilm just ain’t the same anymore man
