Mother, I hope you received the photo of me in my new uniform, it seems to be popular with the townsfolk I meet in my travels. We await news shortly from headquarters. I hope that we will be on the move soon.
We have sustained heavy losses and fallen back to regroup. Our ranks have been decimated, but we are not without hope. We will defend the east with everything we have. The 305th is preparing for our biggest battle yet. For God, Glory, and the cause!
In the end, I’m not concerned with medals or statues or how I compare to others. All I need is for my brothers to know I will give ANYTHING for the cause. The opportunity is now, I will die on that field for these boys!
Victory belongs to those who believe in it the most, believe in it the longest. We are going to believe.., and we’re going to make the rest of the world believe too.
Another brilliant victory for the 305th, I’ve been called to the city of Manningcast to meet with Majors Peyton and Eli. I look forward to their insights, but I’m eager to prepare for the next battle. Pride cometh before the fall. There is still a war to win. The 305 marches on!
We triumphed over the East Rutherford militia. I have yet to lose a battle with General Saleh, but this victory came at a cost. Sergeant Phillips sustained injuries I fear will take him from the battlefield indefinitely. We will not let his loss be in vain, the 305th marches on!
I am not convinced whether it is pride or foolishness that continually sends General Belichick to the front lines, but I was happy to send him retreating with his tail between his legs yet again. Tell the people of Boston, the 305th is inevitable.
I wish I had the time to mourn the Battle of Philadelphia. I wish I could rethink each step and how I could’ve been better for the men. However, no amount of dwelling will change the past, and the Boston Regulars are swiftly heading our direction. This war is far from over…
To any allies held up around the enemy’s base, if you should find yourself lost in the wood and looking for your way in the darkness, do not fear. The 305th will light your path to safety. For tomorrow night, the city of Philadelphia will burn.
Losing a battle is never easy, but one battle does not decide the war. Caution to those who rest on their laurels. Pride cometh before the fall. Onward.
Enemy is holed up in a small town deep in Seneca territory. Cpt. Allen is not a new foe, and will have his men well prepared. They have strong fortified defenses, but we have a few explosive ways around that. The week drags as I yearn for the smells and sounds of the battlefield.
Today a group of wild broncos came running across the field at the men. We tried to be humane, but due to their continued attempts to bust up our camp, we had to put them down. All of them.
We have found the enemy’s location outside of Boston. Col McDaniel has ordered us to hold position until sunset. May they enjoy the company and gluttony of their final meal. For the only thing coming to them after dusk is the taste of defeat.
I am to be recognized for my action in the battle of L.A. Fortunate to be surrounded by such great men, my focus now turns to the Boston militia. They are a worthy adversary and our attack must be orchestrated to perfection. Keep safe your women and children, the 305th is coming.
Another fierce battle fought. A worthy foe defeated. Col. McDaniel’s faith never wavered and while the enemy was resilient, our lines held when it mattered most. The 305th returns victorious.
The morning air breathes life into a new day. Birds chirp and creatures crawl, unaware of the impending sights and sounds of war. Embrace the peace, be still like the calmest pond. Prepare your mind and body for the coming storm… Fate is on her way, let’s ride out to meet her.
War is not won purely by decorated soldiers. Moreover, it is the determination and fight in the most inexperienced and untested men that will turn the tides of war. Every great hero was once a nobody…
We have set up camp and begun our training in earnest, preparing for the inevitable war. For now I am catching up with old faces and getting to know the new recruits. Laughter and smiles disguise the hard work. I relish the peace, for the sounds of battle will soon be upon us.
