They’re making an example out of @SauravDassss and @AshutoshRanka to create a chilling effect. At this point, they aren't bothered about the optics as well. If this is how two people can be treated with so many eyes on them, imagine what happens to those nobody is watching. Just so sad and disturbing.
The Supreme Court, including the CJI and his cohort of brother judges, should be ashamed of themselves. They may have their chairs, bungalows, cars and free VVIP trips to temples but will be discarded into the dustbin of history with more contempt than the official Emergency ones
We are continuously running a campaign for the release of Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
However, andhbhakts are attempting to get our account suspended through mass reporting.

To any reasonable person, keeping Ashutosh and Saurav in custody can only be meant to break their spirit, and through it, to instil fear in peaceful protesters. I regret to say that this is not about the law. It is about placing a price on the exercise of constitutional rights.
This could not be more wrong, morally and legally. @SauravDassss and @AshutoshRanka must be freed, because they should never have been jailed.
It is not a crime to raise your voice for the youth of your country. It is not a crime to demand a better future for the youth of your country. It is not a crime to protest, or to carry the Tricolour in protest. Free them.
Delhi: CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka's judicial custody extended by two days.
CJP legal head @whattalawyer says, "I think SEM (Special Executive Magistrate) courts should be abolished because the system is compromised. They have rejected the sureties. Advocates have pointed out that the verification process for a surety cannot be a valid ground for remanding someone to judicial custody. There is no apprehension, no threat, and there was no call to action from our side, yet they were still sent to two days of judicial custody. The authorities show no regard for personal liberty or an individual's past record; they simply seek an excuse, and we have just witnessed the kind of excuse they have offered today. I feel that while this entire system is designed to crush us, it will not succeed. The youth of this country is watching. They see how those in power are misusing the law to suppress voices, stifle these young people and prevent them from coming together to raise their concerns. I believe the authorities fail to realise that all of this is only making these individuals stronger and more powerful. They will eventually push back, and the government will be forced to provide an answer."
Since we're all worried about India turning into Bangladesh
Let's look at the situation in Bangladesh before the unrest erupted.
1. Jobless growth, resulting in serious youth unemployment.
2. High inflation and cost of living.
3. Because of lack of private jobs, govt jobs became highly competitive
4. Suppression of opposition leaders and critics, leading to crackdowns, including students.
5. Erasure of free and fair elections.
Now ask yourself: who exactly is turning India into Bangladesh?
Exclusive: “We are in an emergency. There is no justice. This is a police court. Just look at the ground that they have taken” says @SauravDassss a she and @AshutoshRanka are taken back to Tihar jail with their judicial custody further extended by two days by SEM court. Five hours of proceedings today. Ground report on YouTube- SmitaSharmaJournalist @VipinRathaur@abhijeet_dipke@Cockroachisback
Delhi: On the two-day extension of judicial custody for CJP leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, CJP Legal Affairs Head @whattalawyer says, "What we have seen in the SEM court is nothing less than a circus. An inquiry should be conducted into what is happening here and how these people are working by crushing someone's liberty."
Why is there such deafening silence around @SauravDassss’s arrest?
Saurav has been so much more than just the leader of CJP. He has contributed immensely to journalism, too.
Why isn’t the journalistic fraternity actively standing up for him?
The silence is baffling!
Advocate Pushp Sharma, representing Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, says, "The facts are straight away. We were pushing on law. They said that they (Ranka and Das) made a call and made a statement; we told them to show us the specific call. To this, they had no reply. They only said that everything is in the public domain. We told them to show us the provision under which this is being done. They again had no reply. They kept saying that there are threats; we told them to show us the same - again, no reply. Then we were told that SEM would take half an hour to pronounce the order but they took 3 hours and took 2 of those hours to talk to someone over phone. During this time, they wrote the order, clicked its photo and sent it somewhere. Then the sureties were called in and asked strange questions...This is absurd. SEM is a man of the Police. Sureties were being threatened. Lastly, we were told that photos of the sureties were not matching. This order will be challenged and taken to higher judiciary..."
“Lawrence Bishnoi Sahab”
The respect Delhi Police has for gangsters…
Wish they showed even 10% of this courtesy to students and activists who are doing nothing but protest.
Salman Khan’s house firing, Baba Siddique’s murder, Rohit Shetty’s house firing, and now #TigerShroff targeted in Mumbai. 🚨
Since 2023, restrictions on #LawrenceBishnoi 's transfer from Sabarmati Jail have been repeatedly renewed under CrPC Section 268(1) and later Section 303 of the BNSS.
Amit Shah ji, why do you keep these restrictions in place? Why does Bishnoi continue to get this protection while agencies seek access to him?
One gunda helping another gunda? This is crossing all limits. Who will answer for the fear ordinary citizens are living with? 🇮🇳
