Congratulations to our two scholarship recipients! We decided to award two of our very competitive candidates, Elizabeth Jones & Makenzie Gleason. We wish them all the best, and are excited to see how their passion for mental health will continue to drive change in our community.
Happy Pride Month!
Unfortunately, the LGBT+ community is affected by mental illness at a disproportionate rate. Therefore, PSNM will be posting mental health resources that specifically address mental health in the LGBT+ community for the rest of June.
PSNM has extra bandanas that we want to give away to those in need of face coverings, free of charge. We would do drop-off to homes in the Johnston area and have a designated pick up area in Johnston as well. Let us know if you are interested!
PSNM is spotlighting resources in our community and beyond that specifically aid mental health for black folks. Additionally, we have provided information of mental health resource funds open for donations. #BlackLivesMatter
If any members of the community are looking for ways to help, we encourage donations to these organizations, or donations can be made to PSNM through our website, https://t.co/h7FHn1z9wN
The Project Silence No More team would like to take a moment to inform you of some changes we're making given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. For more detailed information, check out our April 2020 press release found on https://t.co/h7FHn1z9wN
Beyond that, PSNM will provide funding to the Johnston Partnership to address food insecurity. We also will be purchasing gift cards through local restaurants, which will be distributed to families in need through partnership with the JUMP program.
