Very pleased to share our publication validating the FAINT and Canadian Syncope Scores for ED patients with unexplained syncope in @JAMANetworkOpen
Both showed excellent discrimination.
The FAINT score outperformed physician gestalt w/r/t sensitivity.

Both the Canadian Syncope Risk Score and FAINT score identified emergency department patients at low risk for serious outcomes, with FAINT showing higher sensitivity than physicians for serious cardiac outcomes.

The score performed just as well for ED patients with presyncope as for those with syncope.
