BOKSBURG:the R554 road in Salfin (Carnival Green flats) has been heavily barricaded in both directions with rocks and other objects due to a service delivery protest in the Boksburg area.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Gauteng traffic and South African Police Service (SAPS) Public Order Policing (POP) officers are on scene monitoring the situation.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.

Please exercise caution and allow extra travel time when traveling in the affected area.
